"Hello, Sir. How may I help you today?" the little pink hair girl asked as she stood by the cash register of the cafe, a tall businessman standing in front of her on the other end.
"Just a black coffee to go, please." the man said in response as he began pulling out his wallet, "I'm in a rush so please, make haste."
"We will do our best, Sir." she replied, quickly putting his order into the register, "$3.45 is your total."
He handed her the cash of a $5 bill, she quickly put it with the rest of the cash and handed him his change. The receipt was printed and she ripped it from the machine, handing it over to the man.
"Your number will be called once it is ready." she said with a smile, but the man's face looked very displeased.
"I have to wait for a simple black coffee?" he asked, thinking how unbelievable it was.
"Yes, Sir. You have people waiting for their orders in front of yours and unfortunately today we are understaffed." she explained to him, feeling a slight bit of anxiety growing inside of her.
"It is not that hard to make a simple black coffee, didn't I just say I was in a hurry?"

Lilly had flinched at the sudden change of attitude, "Sir, p-please don't yell.."

She held back tears from the screaming of the stranger, knowing she couldn't show any signs of weakness to someone who doesn't know her. It was a pretty common occurrence to happen at her place of work, but it was rare when she was the one taking the orders at the register.
All was saved when she felt a hand on her shoulder, followed by the voice of the person keeping her calm, "Excuse me, I would appreciate it if you didn't raise your voice at my workers as they are trying their best to get your orders in."
"You're the manager?"
"That I am, yes. If you would hold on for just a moment, I will be right with you."

Romans"Matteo, can I ask you a question?" Lilly asked, looking up at him. "That was a question." he joked. She giggled, "I mean a different question, just something that I'm curious about." He nodded, "What is your question then?" "Why do you call me 'flo...
