Chapter 11 Big bang

Hanzo and Rubashi POV.

Rubashi: "Yea, yea, whatever mister serious."

A few more minutes passed, and Rubashi finally heard the second group approaching their location. And with a whisper once again told Hanzo of their situation.

Rubashi: "We will have company soon."

Hanzo: "Good thing that I'm done, All I need to do now is to connect the cable connecting all the explosives to the remote and we should be good to explode this tunnel."

Rubashi: "Wait, You have a remote for that?"

Hanzo looked at Rubashi with a poker face.

Hanzo: "I mean if you want to die so badly you can always grab a torch and set the explosion off manually."

Rubashi: "I think I will pass on that."

Hanzo: "So,... will we do the same thing again? Hide, kill guards, and then the rest."

Rubashi: "Yep, it should be easy like the last time, even tho they won't be tired this time."

With that both Hanzo and Rubashi hid once again behind the boulders, however, they left the bodies of the previous group lying there, because they did not have time or the want to get them out of the way, so they will have a tighter window to make a surprise attack. But unannounced to them the party that was coming was no miners, they were a war party, one of the miners that were about to enter the mine spotted something red in a bush and found a stealth suit soaked in blood, and for all the miner knew, it was human blood, he thought that the infiltrators were health with then, but he still felt a need to check if it really was the blood of the intruder or blood of one of their servant humans, because he did not find anybody lying near the suit, so he looked to the bush next to the one he found the stealth suit and sure enough, he found bodies of two human servant guards laying there lifeless. Now it made sense to him, that is why no guards were at the gate, not because they had a break or were changing posts like he originally thought, the infiltrator must have gotten in. The miner immediately alerted his friends not to go inside and ran to the barracks nearby to get them to send an armed search party to scout out the tunnel. Once the miner told the second in command because the main commander was searching the forest right now for other intruders, the second in command grabbed a few soldiers that he had at his disposal whiles still keeping a few guarding the base and, because of lack of previously mentioned soldiers, armed the rest of the miners with weapons and told them to follow him into the mines.

Now that Rubashi finally could see light coming from the mild turn of the tunnel, he peeked over the boulder and his confidence immediately took a hit. He then slumped back down next to Hanzo and looked nervous.

Hanzo: "Why are you so nervous, are there twice as many miners as before? Or twice as many guards?"

Rubashi: "Much, much worse."

Hanzo: "Do tell."

Rubashi: "There are about forty of them, and on top of that, they all have weapons, they are expecting us!"

Hanzo: "Weapons or not, all of their warriors should be quite a distance from their camp, meaning much further away from the tunnel."

Rubashi: "Well, that may be true, but at least one-half of them are warriors, at least provided that the miners are only the human-looking ones."

Hanzo: "Well, It could be worse."

Rubashi then peeked from behind the boulder once again and saw what he wanted to see the least, an Immortal, though it was smaller than the others he heard about or he had seen in cages. Now, Rubashi would gladly take the challenge of fighting one of the immortals, but now that he was in an enclosed space with explosives and a friend that did not possess the power of any kind, and the fact that the immortal had an escort of twenty soldiers and twenty armed miners so, he was more worried than eager to meet an immortal in battle.
