Rubashi: "And would you look at that? Two guards and two torches. Other entrances did not have those, these must be the right Gate."
Hanzo: "Right, we will wait for the next beacon and then we will take care of the guards. I will aim at the right one, you will take the one on the left."
Rubashi nodded.
Both Hanzo and Rubashi waited for a bit, and they were ready just to move on without it because they did not want any more guards appearing, but then finally another beacon of light illuminated the night's sky, finally giving them much-awaited opportunity.
The guards looked up and with raspy voices started talking to each other.
Cultist one: "Look, another pillar of light."
Caultist two: "I wonder what is causing it?"
Cultist one: "Whatever it is it will be dead soon, pretty much the entire camp went to search the area because this mission is so secret."
Cultist two: "I hope you are right..."
Before he could finish his sentence he was cut short by a flying star slicing his neck open. The other guard did not even register that as he had his throat sliced open by the other flying star at the exact same moment as the other guard.
Hanzo and Rubashi emerged from the bushes and quickly made their way toward the dead guards, they searched them and found a couple of keys. Takashi was trying to try every one of them to unlock the gate and Hanzo in the meantime took the bodies into the bush they just came from and now was trying to cover the blood somehow, as to buy them some extra minutes in case of being discovered. But Hanzo managed to find a way to get rid of the blood by using their suits that got them here, they wouldn't have time to get into them anyway while they would be escaping, so Hanzo decided to use them as a mop to get rid of the blood. However, Rubashi was still figuring out a way to open the gate with the keys.
Hanzo: "I'm done, have you found the keys?"
Rubashi: "None of these fucking keys fit!"
Hanzo: "Have you checked if the gate is just opened?"
Rubashi: "Of course not, why would they leave it open?"
Hanzo went towards the handle and pushed in with some effort, but the gate opened. He then looked at Iritated Rubashi and with a sly smile answered.
Hanzo: "Maybe because they are working shifts and as such there is no need for locking the gate where they work at?"
Rubashi sighs.
Rubashi: "Right, but we need to go, we don't have the entire night."
Hanzo: "Roger that."
With that, they entered the mine and spotted some torches on the wall near the gate. They both took one torch and closed the gate behind them. Inside the cave/tunnel was an early silence combined with the lack of light and chilly wind. The only things getting them some light were their torches and the only things keeping them from freezing were their jackets. But they started their hike deeper into the tunnel/cave. They could tell that it was a cave, but it soon changed to a "man" made tunnel, however, their conditions did not get any better. Hanzo was now even starting to worry in his head if the explosives could even go off in such cold weather.
They have been walking around now for quite some time and they both wondered how long and deep this tunnel was, by their calculations, they were to soon arrive at the middle of the tunnel, where the tunnel is the most unstable and most collapsable, furthermore, the mountain should collapse killing every enemy that is digging the hole on the far end, but it should also save some time for them before the other part of the tunnel, the part where they are, meaning the route to the exit finally would collapse too.
