Hanzo heard what happened, but he did not want to turn, nor could he due to his fight still going on, he could not have mistaken the sound of flesh being impaled, he was worried and angry, both at himself and at that creature, that Immortal that stood before him, he was the one who done this, he was the one to blame, that was at least what Hanzo told himself not to get distracted and to finish the fight. However, he heard Rubashi groan, which at least meant that the wound might not be fatal, and Hanzo could still save him.

Hanzop gripped his sword firmly and with furry of attacks started to overwhelm the Immortal and push him back a bit, but then the violent shaking began once again and a sound of the collapsing tunnel could be heard further down into the tunnel, and all Hanzo could do was to hope that the cave part would not collapse in this phase, as it would be the end of both Hanzo and Rubashi.

Hanzo slashed his sword that once again deflected off the Immortals armor-like skin and did nothing but push him back a little. The Immortal retaliated by trying to go for his strike with his hand, but Hanzo jumped back a little, the Immortal instantly charged in, wanting to use the moment of Hanzo being unstable to finally strike Hanzo down, but when he did that, that left him unstable too, and with a quick motion Hanzo leaned on his sword and kicked the Immortal with all of his body strength back. The Immortal went flying as he was not prepared for that attack from Hanzos's side. But the Immortal did not stay down long, he immediately stood back up and tried to charge, but now more carefully, because he was aware of the tunnel falling down behind him. He charged, but not at Hanzo, he wanted to get behind Hanzo or at least at the same place as Hanzo as he did not want to fight with the risk of being buried alive, especially now that he was weakened.

The Immortal charged and got at the same level that Hanzo was, now they both had the same chance of being buried alive. Both charged at each other, they seemed to go blow for blow, but Hanzo knew that the Immortal was slowly catching u to him by remembering his moves one by one. The shaking now was closer than ever and Hanzo could see from the corner of his eyes that the visible parts of the tunnel were now collapsing, Hanzo only had one chance to do this, he still had a couple of moves that he did not reveal yet to the Immortal, that was now probably thinking of how to throw Hanzo under the falling rocks too. But Hanzo was the faster thinker there and thought of the perfect move first.

Hanzonto now could see the falling rocks being very, very close, uncomfortably close, so he did his move, he blocked the strike from the Immortal with the sword and locked him with it to use it, he then put every single muscle into a punch to the jaw to the Immortal, even jumping with legs to add on even more power. The Immortal was pushed up by the strike, however, it was only a small distance, you probably could not even fit a pebble under his feet, but that was enough for Hanzo.

Hanzo kicked the Immortal square in the chest sending him a small distance away. But it was just enough of a distance that when the rocks came falling he was buried alive completely.

Hanze then finally lowered his guard and his sword as he contemplated if he wanted to even to turn back, as he feared what was he to see, because the sound he heard was one which he knew well, flesh being pierced, torn, destroyed. But he was not prepared to see what he saw.

When Hanzo finally turned, he saw Rubashi being impaled by a huge stone stalactite. Hanzo immediately recognized that he probably couldn't move it by himself, nor did he think that even if he removed it he could stop the bleeding that would come from the 8 cm (3.15 inches) hole that would be left behind it.

But Rubashi was not dead, at least not yet, he saw the stalactite falling, but due to his injuries he could not do anything about it, and unluckily for him, it did not kill him instantly. He was still squirming in pain, but then he stopped and looked at Hanzo that was just standing there, just a small distance away, with a dead look on his face, seeing his friend dying in agony.
