Everyone seemed happy to not have to decide yet and slipped back to their respective spaces. I took the opportunity to check the water level one last time as Taylor tucked the girls in 'bed', and Daniel started to rebuild both fires in an attempt to fend off the increasingly cold night. Jessie and Rachel spoke quietly with each other as I left the warehouse once more.
The short walk to the end of the road cleared my energy field of my own annoyance. I was disappointed that I reacted in the way that I had. The others hadn’t meant to make me feel out of place. They were just genuinely baffled. It wasn’t everyday someone announced they were going off to live in caves, so I wouldn’t hold such a small thing against them.
Grace and compassion, for myself and others, heals the rift.
After seeing that the water level remained the same, I returned back to the shed and settled into my own blanket. The solar energy took its cue to rampage through my chakras. It was an uncomfortably familiar feeling. I had nights where I didn’t sleep at all because the energy was so busy clearing out the old and replacing it with new. I had gotten used to simply resting odd hours as the vibrations came in full force when my body was still. So when I closed my physical eyes, third eye would be active on its own, and my dreamstate would keep me from reaching full REM.
Most nights I would be taken from vivid dream after vivid dream featuring people I did and didn't know. A great deal of those nights they were absolute nightmares. The many ways that a vessel could die, I had experienced through my own psyche. But I didn't fear them anymore. I'd developed an exceptional understanding of past life purging.
Tonight was different from that though. It was still a dream I'd experienced many times before, but it had taken on a less dream-like quality. My third eye had grown more focused. I was even closer than the last time we met.
The familiar man, with long black hair pulled into a perfect bun, stood under a twisted weeping willow tree. Black was always his favorite color to wear. With high cheekbones and an angular jaw, the man was a beautiful mix of masculine and feminine. Spirit had clearly spent painstaking hours pouring over every facet of this man's form. From the dark slashes of his brows to the illuminated silver rings that encircled his light gray eyes. He wasn't in a human form. He never was. He came and went as he pleased. The last time I saw him, he was warning me about the impending natural disaster.
I would have to thank him for that.
He grinned in response, “You are very welcome.”
Ah yes, I’d forgotten he could hear my thoughts if I didn’t put up an energetic wall. I frowned as I quickly wove one around me.
"It's nearly time," he said as he turned his beautiful face to the unnaturally pink sun.
His deep-honeyed voice burned into my consciousness, sending the already pulsing energy into a frenzy. I was always like this when he appeared.
"The planets' atmosphere is changing. Are you prepared shooting star?" he chuckled, "You always are. Aren't you?"
His eyes found mine again and my breath caught, but before I could respond back to him, an unknown voice caught my attention in the present dimension. My eyes opened of their own accord to the slowly burning fire.
"I'm so thirsty," a male voice hoarsely whispered.
Shifting and fast paced movements filled the silent shed.
"Here's some orange juice and soup if you can stomach it," DeAndre spoke quietly.
More shifting occurred behind the curtain. My gaze went to the sisters sleeping next to the fire, and then to the family snoozing soundly across the way, tucked under their blankets. Everyone was okay. I rolled onto my back and attempted to reach the golden field again, but the energy had become too disruptive. It kept me from focusing on the silver portal that I knew would take me to where Arcania usually waited. I huffed in annoyance. This wasn’t the first time I’d attempted to project around this sort of energy and so I knew it would be futile. I wouldn’t be able to see him again tonight. Disappointment filled me. Since sleep was out of the question, I thought over what Arcania had said just before I was pulled back to my body. It was another warning.
