You stepped through the other side of the colorful portal. You looked around quickly at your surroundings. Debris and dust were everywhere, so much so you couldn't even tell what kind of building you were standing in.
"What the fu-," you started, but before you could finish, something huge screeched from above and swooped down towards you. You leapt out of the way into a roll, jumping back up to your feet gracefully. You looked up to the thing that made the sound to see someone...falling? Off the back of the giant creature. They landed and rolled right in front of you.
It was the other Spider from this universe. They were short and wearing...ballet flats? Which was actually badass, you'll definitely look into some of those when you get back. They wore a black and white suit with pink outlining on the mask's eyes. You leaned over them.
"Hey, kid, you okay?"
They coughed, clutching at their chest, but held a thumbs up. "Oh, I'm terrific, never better actually," they said.
You reached out a hand to help her up. She finally stood up, facing you. Her eye-lens widened.
"Another Spider-Woman? I thought it was just me," she said breathlessly.
"Well actually I'm Diamond-Spider, but yeah, sure. I'm a woman last time I checked."
"Woah. I- wow. This is crazy. I'm not alone! Like wow- you could teach me so much! And- and are those throwing stars? Cool!"
"Diamonds actually, but yeah," you smiled under your mask at her gushing.
"Oh my gosh. That's- that's so cool. I-"
Before she could continue fangirling, which you thought was adorable, the creature swooped and snatched her up. She let out a yell as you sprung after them. The creature was pinning her against a concrete post, extending its long claws. You leapt over it's head, shooting your webs onto its forehead, landing on its back. You pulled back hard, trying to tear its head away from her, to disorient it, but it was strong. You let out a groan as you dug your feet in, pulling harder.
It's clawed hand continued to rear back, and suddenly shot forward to claw into her.
"No!" you grunted out.
But the claws never came any closer than the small jump they originally made toward her face. You could see a red reflection in the other Spiders eye-lens and you turned your head, webs still tugging in your hand, to see the signature red portal above you. Miguel's electric red webs were extended from it, attached to the creatures claw, which you could now tell was some weird Shakespeare-looking-vulture-thing.
Miguel suddenly leapt out of the portal, and you let go of your webs immediately, landing on the ground. He punched the vulture. Hard. Knocking him out momentarily. You and the new Spider-Woman swung over to where Miguel had landed. You ran up behind him.
"Was the cape necessary this time?" You questioned setting a hand on your hip.
Miguel turned to face you. "I think it adds a dramatic effect," he grunted.
"Sure hot shot. I like the fact that you yelled at me to get out of bed, and be here in a HUGE hurry, yet you still showed up late."
"I- god don't call me that. And Jess's watch was bugging out, so we got hung up and-"
"Who exactly are you supposed to be?" the new Spider asked loudly next to you.
"That's classified," Miguel answered. Typical. Trying to be the mysterious guy.
"Your the blue panther?" she questioned.
"No," Miguel answered, in his pissed off voice.
"The Caped Blue Saber?" she tried again.
You snorted next to Miguel, to which he shot you an annoyed look. So you coughed a little to cover up your laugh.
"No, I'm-"
"Dark Garfield?"
And that one broke you. You burst out laughing, wiping invisible tears from your eye-lenses.
"Okay that. That was a good one," you laughed.
"N-No-both of you stop- Y\N stop laughing-,"Miguel ground out through his teeth.
"Macho Libre!" The Spider woman tried one more time, throwing out her hands for added effect, which had you wheezing with laughter all over again, clutching your side as you bent over your knees.
Miguel stared at you very hard and you could practically tell his eyes were bright red under his mask by now. So you stood up and cleared your throat.
Miguel took a deep breath before continuing. "I'm from another dimension."
The Spider woman gasped in response. "YOU ARE?! Wow! Actually I'm not confused-"
"My name is Miguel O'Hara-"
"Oh god here we go," you said in exasperation.
"Will you let me finish?" Miguel seethed.
You just rolled your eyes under your mask in return and crossed your arms.
Miguel sighed before completely starting over, as if the cape wasn't dramatic effect enough.
"My name is Miguel O'Hara. I lead an elite strike force dedicated to the security of the multiverse-"
"Actually forget it," the girl cut in quickly, "can you go to any dimension with that watch?" She asked, reaching for it curiously.
Miguel pulled his wrist back slightly. "It's-actually much cooler than a watch."
"Well anyways, I have to bring that guy to justice. So-"
Miguel put his clawed hand out to stop her. "I'll take it from here-"
"WE will take it from here, actually," you said, correcting him.
"Uh okay, knock yourselves out," said the kid.
"W-why did you say it like that?" Miguel asked in annoyance putting his hands on his waist.
You suddenly saw a shadow growing at your feet and your spidey sense ringing in your ears. You turned around to see the vulture rising from the rubble.
"Miguel!" You shouted as you ducked.
Too late, the vulture snatched him up, carrying him off, as Miguel shouted, "YOUR NOT FUNNY!" to the Spider-Woman.
You stood back up next to the girl. You nudged her side.
"I think your absolutely hilarious."
