Chapter 9

"Thomas, Terrence, Bluey, and the Snow"

Told By Mark Morhagan

"Welcome to Sodor, Pop. 75,000, give or take..."

Created by John Andrews

Autumn had arrived on the Island of Sodor. The leaves were changing from red to brown, and the fields were also changing, from yellow stubble to brown earth.

As Thomas, Bluey, and Bingo went along their line, they heard a Tractor, hard at work. One day, when they were stopped at a signal, they saw the tractor and his Jack Russell Terrier companion close by.

The tractor and the pup looked over the Fence.

Terence: Hello! I'm Terence!

Jack: And My name is Jack! We're plowing this field!

Bluey: Jack! You're here too?!? This is a surprise.

Jack: Yes, it is. What are you doing with that Blue Engine?

Thomas: My name is Thomas. I'm pulling a train.

Jack: Nice to meet you, Thomas! I'm Jack. I'm one of Bluey's School friends.

Thomas: I see. Anyways, Terence, was it? What ugly wheels you've got!

Terence: They're not ugly! They're "Caterpillar" tracks! I can go anywhere with my tracks! I don't need rails!

Thomas: I don't want to go anywhere. I like my rails, Thank you!

And they puffed away. Bluey was more polite.

Bluey: Nice seeing you two! Take care!

Jack: See you later, Bluey!

Soon, winter came, and with it, came dark clouds filled with heavy snow.

Bingo: I don't like the look of those clouds, Bluey!

Bluey: Yep. I think a heavy snowstorm is coming! I hope it doesn't stop us!

All the same, Thomas saw that the snow was melting on the rails.

Thomas: Huh! Haha! Soft stuff! Nothing to it!

They rushed along the line, feeling cold, but confident. They finished their journey safely, but by now, the country was covered with a blanket of snow, and the rails were only two dark lines that stood out in this snow.

Thomas: Oh no... you better not be thinking what I'm thinking.

Bluey: I'm afraid so. You'll need your snowplow for your next journey home, Thomas!

Bingo: Besides, it will keep us all safe!

Thomas: Bah! Snowplow! Rubbish! Snow is only silly soft stuff! It won't stop me!
