Chapter 21

"Mrs. Kyndley's Christmas Rescue"

Told By Mark Morhagan

"Welcome to Sodor, Pop. 75,000, give or take..."

Created by John Andrews

One winter night, A Blizzard Hit the Island of Sodor. The wind howled, snow fell, and the air was cold. The engines, along with their Puppy friends had to stay indoors. Luckily, they had their nice warm sheds, and since their pup companions were there, they were never alone.

Bluey: This winter storm sounds very Bad!

Bingo: I know! We've never seen snow in Brisbane!

Rusty: I hope the Coaches are all tucked in, Nice and Warm in their sheds.

Thomas: Don't worry Rusty, I'm sure they're all snug. I think it's okay. I'm glad we delivered Coal to the people just before this blizzard hit, and we're all together here.

Bluey: I am too, Thomas.

*she hugs him and Thomas Smiles*

Percy: What we need for this sort of Bad weather... is a story!

Bingo: Yeah! A Holiday Story! A Christmas story!

Bluey: A good Holiday story about me and Thomas!

And, of course, at that moment, Mr. Conductor appeared in a shower of Gold Dust.

Mr. Conductor: Did somebody say "Holiday Story"?

Bluey: I did, Mr. C! Boy... I bet it's just as Snowy up there where you are at Shining Time.

Mr. Conductor: Oh yes. It is Snowing, but it's not as bad there as it is here.  But anyway, you kids and engines want a story?

Bluey: Yes! A Holiday Story! A Christmas Story!

Bingo: Mum and Dad always read us "The Night Before Christmas" on Christmas Eve before we went to sleep.

Mr. Conductor: That's a classic my family and I have loved for all the Generations of Mr. Conductors! Now, for the story that I'm about to tell you. It's January now, so it happened last Christmas. Now let's see... what was her name again... Kyndley! That's it!

Bingo: Who's Kyndley?

Mr. Conductor: Mrs. Kyndley, Bingo. She is a great friend of Thomas, Toby, Bluey, Rusty, and I. She saved the train we were on last Christmas. The passengers along with us could've been hurt or worse if it wasn't for Mrs. Kyndley. I'll never forget it, and neither did Thomas, Bluey, or Mrs. Kyndley. Gather around, and I'll tell you all about it!

So the Engine's companions got themselves into comfortable beanbags for each, The Engines hushed, Mr. Conductor blew his whistle, and this is the story he told them.
