Told By Mark Morhagan
"Welcome to Sodor, Pop. 75,000, give or take..."
Created by John Andrews
Toby, Rusty, and Henrietta all enjoy their new life on Sodor. They take the workmen to the Quarry every morning. Although Toby and Henrietta look old-fashioned and both need new paint, Bluey is happy they've all come to help her and Thomas on The Branchline.
At the Elsbridge Junction, they would often meet James and Mackenzie. Well, I'm sorry to say that James was very rude whenever he saw Toby and Henrietta.
James: YUCK! What Dirty Objects!
Mackenzie: James, that's quite enough insults! We're supposed to be role models for this whole Island!
At Last, Toby had lost patience with the Red.
Toby: James, why are you red?
Rusty: That's what I want to know too! I'm Red because I'm a Red Kelpie.
James: For your information, I'm a splendid engine, of course. Ready for anything. You never see me working with my paint dirty!
Toby: Oh! That's why you and Mackenzie once needed bootlaces! To be Ready, I suppose!
*Rusty laughs*
James' face just went redder than ever and he just snorted off. To him, it was such an insult to be reminded of the time a passenger's bootlace had been used to mend a hole in a brake pipe in one of his coaches.
At Knapford Station, James left his empty coaches behind in a siding and got ready for his next Train. It was a Slow goods, stopping at every station on the main line to pick up and drop off trucks. Needless to say, James and Mackenzie did not like Slow Goods Trains at all!
James: Shunting Dirty Trucks from dirty sidings!
Both: YUCK!
Mackenzie: But we'll have to put up with it...
Starting with only a few trucks, they picked up more and more, until they had a long and heavy train. At first, the trucks behaved nicely, but James was in a very bad mood and bumped them so roughly that they determined to get back at him.
Later on, they were approaching the top of Gordon's Hill. Heavy Goods trains like the ones James was pulling often, stop here to set their brakes properly. James had had an accident with trucks before and should have known this. But Mackenzie did know this was the safe thing to do to prevent any runaways.
Mackenzie: Wait, James, Wait! Wait up, mate! We need to do something first!
But James didn't wait. He was too busy thinking of what to say to Toby and Rusty whenever they met again. It wasn't until too late that James saw where he was, and tried to stop! The trucks' chance for trickery had come!
