Sam:

She woke up, she is alive, that's all I want. I want to see her, go hug her but I can't. I am the one who dragged oli into this and now she is in hospital.

"Sammy, why are you sad? Is it because of liv? Don't worry mom told liv will be fine. She will come to our house and we can play many video games with her like we did on thanksgiving" I gave him a sad smile.

"Go see her. Talk to her. I can't see you like this. Eric go do your homework" he ran to his room.

"I can't mom she is in hospital, she was hurt because of me. She thinks that I met her only because of rebecca" a tear rolled on my cheek.

"You didn't, right? Say the same to her. I know Olivia will understand she is a sweetheart. Sometimes you shouldn't be late to express your love or you will regret your whole life." She is controlling her tears. I know she is talking about dad.

"Why does dad hate us mom? Especially you and me. He at least talks with Alex and Eric but never with us. Why?"

"It is an arranged marriage. Your grandfather's company is in huge loss so he approached my grandpa. My parents died when I was young and my grandpa was worried about me. He thought if I marry your father I will have a family and be happy so he helped your father's company, in return your father should marry me.

I had a crush on your father before this arrangement. When I was in college he was so popular, he was all over the magazines. I had pictures of him in my secret book. My grandpa came to know about my little crush. He thought I would be happy if I got married to your father and he would get an heir to look after his company. It's a win win. But your father already had a girlfriend and he refused to marry me. Your grandfather got some information about her and he came to know that she is with your father only for his money. He gave her some money and she left.

Your father was mad that she left without telling him a proper reason so he married me. We never talked much, your grandfather observed this and told your father that he wants a grandson then only he will handover the company. I thought everything would change if we had a son.

Alex was born and as I thought everything had changed he started spending time with us. We came to know about each other, slowly your father started having feelings for me. When you were born I was the happiest person in this world but everything changed after five years. She came back telling your father that me and your grandfather threatened her to leave and your father believed.

He started hating me but this time the hate towards me is twice the before. Whenever he saw you he remembered what we both had, you're the symbol for our love. You are never a mistake. He started hating you as well.

After many years he came to my room drunk. He said all the lovely words I thought were real but the next day when he realized he slept with me and blamed me. For him Eric is a drunken mistake." She went through a lot but she never showed it. She always hides the sadness behind that smile.

"Why can't you tell him what actually happened so that you will be back together?"

"I don't want your father to love me just because someone cheated on him. I want him to love me for who I am" a sob escaped. I hugged her.

"Why can't you just leave him? He chose not to believe you then what's the point staying with him for these many years?" She smiled sadly. 

"Because I still love him. Once you know how great they can love you there is no going back. The one regret that I carry my entire life is I never told him how much I love him. I don't want you to feel the same and I am sure she still loves you because she saw how much you care and love her. Go tell her. Apologize to her for all the things you did and tell her how much she can trust you" listening to mom I started having some hope. It's true I can't live without her. I will tell her what I feel and how much she changed me.

"I will talk with her mom but not now. I want it to be special. She deserves it" she hugged me. Mom stiffened. I turned my head to know the reason for her sudden change. Dad is watching us with tears in his eyes.

"I'm sorry" he whispered. 

"I never knew you loved me so much. I thought you married me because of your grandfather. I thought we were just fooling around. You could have told me that she manipulated me. I lost so many years of my sons life, never cared about them because I thought everything was a mistake. No matter how rude and careless I am, you still love me. I am sorry Kate, from now I want to make things right for all these years" I never saw dad like this. He is always strong and never lets his emotions out but now I feel happy that he knows how much mom likes him.

Mom went running to him and hugged. Dad kissed her forehead with a smile on his face. He turned to me with his hand open. I can't believe this is happening. I slowly went and hugged him when he wrapped his around me I believed everything that happened now is real. Eric came running.

"It's a family hug!" He hugged us.

"You Alex, dumb egg come down, we are having a family hug" he shouted. We all laughed. Alex came glaring at Eric but when he saw us his eyes widened and had a bright smile, he hugged us. 

Never in my life I thought we would have this moment. Finally we will be a happy family!

"You both are talking about a girl. Who is she?" I tensed.

"It's Olivia" mom excitedly told him.

"Olivia?" He was confused.

"The girl who scolded you at our company's party" Eric said excitedly. I love Eric but sometimes I wish I never had him.

"Aren't you together already? I mean she was your date and she was so concerned about you."

"She was a fake date but now I really love her. She was hurt because of me."

"I heard about this. How is she? Is everything fine now?"

"Dylan said she woke up and her condition is much better."

"If you like her, go tell her before it's too late. I like her too, she is a feisty one and cares about you" I smiled.
