Secrets

Sometimes it hurts to hear the truth which you already know but from the person who you believe blindly.

Olivia's POV:

"Did you find something?" Sam asked, it's a bit weird to talk with him after what happened.

"No, we are still searching for the file."

"What about medical reports?"

"Soph didn't find any information" I lied.

"I am sorry" I know for what he is sorry for, it still hurts but I gave him a tight smile. 

"Is everything planned? How did you know I will choose this college after all you are a year senior?"

"We didn't, the plan is to meet you somewhere like a library or cafe. Emma will do the work but you choose this college so it became easy for us. We talked with the landlord and arranged an apartment for you and emma. It's just luck."

"What about you and dylan. Did you plan our first meeting at the party as well?"

"Yes, we planned it. Emma convinced you to go to the party and we were waiting for you" It's hard to process everything. 

"What about thanksgiving?"

"That is planned as well. We waited for Rebecca outside your house because you told she will show up for thanksgiving. That is our only hope to find her but when you started crying we felt bad. I immediately called mom and told that you will join us for thanksgiving" so everything that happened is a lie.

"Why me? You have other ways to find Rebecca right? Like you are rich after all you can ask an investigator to find her or talk to cops."

"We did appoint an investigator but after your father's death Rebecca disappeared into thin air. Someone planned it so well that we didn't find rebecca. We don't know, either Rebecca is hiding or kidnapped. We thought, if she is hiding she will surely contact her family one day" he sighed.

"And about the cops we did try that as well but my father always had an eye on us if he knew, he would never let us find out the truth and someone from cops is helping the killer so I thought it is better not go to cops" I nodded in understanding.

Oli father's flash back:

"Simon, did you bring the photos of the accident place?" I asked my assistant.

"Yes" he handed me an envelope.

"You can go now" he left. 

I carefully looked at the pictures of the girl with scars on her body. If she met with an accident why does she have scars? I immediately called my friend John. He was a cop but he resigned two years back.

"What's so urgent? Why did you want to meet me immediately?"

"There is an accident, a girl Caroline is dead. She is the daughter of our classmate Anna. Anna believes that her daughter is murdered and it's not an accident so I was looking into it."

"Why is she so sure, it is not an accident?"

"Because her daughter neither drinks nor drives but they framed it as a drunk and drive accident. I also saw the scars on her body. There is something going on and we should find out."

"Recently there are lot of drunk and drive accidents, they  became more frequent. I also heard that cops arrested someone after this accident but they released him after the medical reports confirmed it as an accident."

"Can you get information about the guy who was arrested and I want every single detail of him. We should also know why he was suspected."

"I will talk with the cop who arrested him and know the details."
