Choose?
Kareem...
Castiel...
Flashbacks of memories with each one of them began to flood my mind. Maybe the heat of the moment, or I'm just a horney wolf. Kareem's deep sexy voice trailing my flesh with his breath, as his body consumed mine. Or that one time, my wolf bit him straight on the ass. Then there's Castiel standing in Kareem's office. That man fucked me to my core with those eyes of evergreen. Not to mention, all the times Cas showed me, what and how to be loved truly felt like. Kareem's controlling, demanding, and expectant, but loves me none the less. Cas, he adores me. He understands me. He shows not only my body but my heart, how to love and what love feels like. Both men are opposites, the good and the bad. Together, all three of us equal out the others. I wouldn't change it for the world. I would murder each and every last one of these fucking wolves, before I would ever agree to losing either of my mates. I let my options weigh in. He did say and I quote, "choose a door?" Or did I hear him wrong?
Well shit, that's simple then.
I pawed my way over to the doors. I sniffed the first door, then the next, taking in both of their scents. I know they're both behind each door, I watched them enter. The wolf in me, needed their scents to help calm the blood thirst, that's currently boiling to close to the top. Any second it may just boil over, then everything's fucked. I keep replaying the words, "choose A door." Over and over in my head.
I shifted back into my human form. My legs were a little wobbly as I stood on my two feet. My back was facing the crowd and the elders, bare ass and all. Closing my eyes, I focused. I dug deeper inside my mind than, I have ever done before. I reached into my heart and prayed to the moon goddess to grant me the strength to do what I was going to attempt to do. Just a little deeper, I grasped onto the bonds of my mates. Eyes still closed.I Shifted one hand into the claws, and squeezed my palm shut. With all my force and borrowed strength, I punched the thin concrete frame that separated both doors. I could hear as a few concrete crumbs tumbled to the ground. Really? That's it? That's all I get? Laughter erupted behind me. I was so pissed that it didn't work. They can all fuck off and get fucked. I don't particularly care which comes first. I didn't open my eyes until I turned around to face the crowd of bigots, of which were still laughing.
The elder stepped forward, " How interesting. You were instructed to pick a single door. Yet, you didn't pick a door at all. I'm quite surprised, you thought, your little trick would work. As you, and everyone standing here today, have witnessed. You are Not True Mates. You may have attempted to fool yourself, but I am no fool. I speak on behalf of all the wolves here, you are not primordial, but an imposter." He snapped his fingers, alerting the guards to seize me, for my apparent fraudulent crimes.
My eyes were burning with so much hatred, I could feel the hot liquid threatening to escape the corner of my eyes. When the urge to pounce and slaughter them all, starting with the Elder first, came over me, that's when the earth shook beneath my feet, just as the guards approached. The sound of rocks bashing against each other as they too crashed against the ground and rolled past where I stood. A cloud of dust embraced my nakedness and drifted towards the crowd. To think, I was second guessing myself, and the Goddess heard my pleas. I silently, thanked her.
My hand returned to normal. I held both hands out, palms up, as I waited for their holders. As if on cue, Castiel, and Kareem both emerged from the dust rumbles and slid their hands into my palms, giving a tight squeeze as our fingers intertwined. They too, stood bare to the world in their rawest form. Laughter seized, and was replaced with choking and coughing. Sweet, sweet karma revenge. I thanked the Goddess again for making them shut the hell up.
Together, the three of us walked back to the altar, still hand in hands. The trail of fear and determination, left imprinted into the raw ground. Together, we are stronger. Unified. Together we are one. A bond, that's unbreakable. Together we are True Mates and we will rule this kingdom, the way it should be. We will no longer fear those who wish us harm, instead we will embrace their challenges and threats head on.
Once the dust settled. All eyes were on us. I couldn't help but raise a pointed brow, followed by a half ass smirk. The elder approached, ready to argue the fact that he was wrong. He didn't get the chance. As soon as he opened his mouth, his jaw was met with a balled up fist. The sound of the jaw bone breaking, really, and I mean really, excited my wolf and I. So much so, that my half ass smirk turned into a full blown smile. My pearly elongated werewolf fangs, glistening. Kareem, and Cas let out their warning growls. Clearly warning whomever was daring to step up next, to think before they acted.
The elder didn't look up, instead he fell to his knees and showed his neck in submission. The crowd began to follow suite. There were a handful of standbyers who stayed standing. Conflicted with their decisions. All it took was shifting, letting my wolf fully emerge into the spotlight. The deep growl, reverberating off her canines as she opened her jaw to showcase she wasn't fucking around. Now that she had their submissions, and acknowledged as the rightful heir to her throne, she lifted her head to the sky and howled. She filled it with so much power to make it even clearer. Cas, and Kareem shifted and joined in with their own howls. Together, the three of our howls, rang through the forest. Soon enough the forest was filled with all the wolves before us and some that were off in the distance.
