The Reunion

*Fast forward 9 months after Never Too Buisy"

Winter, Jacin and their 11- year old daughter, Alana. struggled to get past the paparazzi bots, which blinded them every now and then with that burst of flash. They tried their best to look like normal citizens instead of lunar royalty, but unfortunately, that was almost impossible when the bots scanned their chip.

The couple and their daughter finally arrived the palace's entrance and immediately surrounded by some guards as they walked in. They followed the royal adviser into the ball room where their dear friends awaited them.

"Winter, Jacin!" Their best and powerful friend, Cinder greeted them. It was actually very weird seeing her with an elegant navy blue gown with her hair curled at the tips, hence Cinder despised them when she's pregnant. And that crown...

Then there's Kai, the once dorky and awkward prince, now a suitable and dignified emperor. And father of one...two.

Winter smiled and returned both their hugs, being careful and wary with Cinder's abundant belly. Addilyn was last to receive Winter and Jacin's hug before trading enthusiastic glances to Alana. Probably planning out their week of fun.

That's when she saw two adorable and chubby kids, boy and girl, with fiery red hair and emerald eyes. No doubt Scarlet and Wolf's. The lunar royal family greeted the two and behind them, were the parents.

"It's about time" Scarlet gleamed and hugged them also. "We were just practicing the waltz for the baby's royal ball." She looked over at Cinder who was stuffing a piece of red velvet cake into her mouth. "Well, we got the hang of it...I don't know about Cinder."

"I'm pregnant. It's perfectly normal to be lazy and enjoy cake when I want cake" Cinder said.

"That's actually normal for Cinder" Jacin laughed and she glared at him. "We don't need waltz lessons. I've seen it way too many times at balls and I don't see how I can't do that."

"It's harder than you think" said a female voice coming from the back of the ball room. Cress sighed and glanced at Thorne, who was practicing the dance by himself.

"Thorne, I think you should let your actual date dance with you" Kai said as he was being crowded by the children. Probably because of all the shiny and glittery gold on his clothes.

"Don't you think I would if I could" Thorne mused. "Cress here apparently is too much of a rookie at this for me, an expert."

Cress rolled her eyes and walked up to Winter, Jacin, and Alana. After all the "I missed you"'s and the "So glad you made it"'s, the crew was led into the humongous living room. Well, 6th living room they have seen so far.

"So, Cinder. When are you due?" Cress asked, sipping her lemonade.

"The doctor was saying today-"

"Today?! Cinder, we need to get you to the infirmary!" Winter stood up from the couch and almost spilled the lemonade.

"...but I haven't felt anything unusual like I did with Adi" Cinder finished and got Winter to cool down.

"Well, when I had Alana, I did feel like a pop when my water broke. And you know it's the day when you feel extra tired"

Then began a moment of silence.

"How does it feel to be a mother?" Cress whispered, but loud enough for the girls to hear. Cinder squirmed in her seat, uncomfortable of the sudden topic. Cress' best wish is to have a baby of her own, one she will sing to every night and play with its chubby legs. But, Thorne...according to him, he wasn't ready to be a father.

"It's...wonderful" Winter finished her drink and leaned back into the couch. "Exhausting, but wonderful"

"Being a mother is really hard, Cress" Cinder began. "First is the birth pain, then going to the infirmary like twice a day."

"Well, of course...but how does it feel to know that that little baby is your child"

"Like Winter said, it's certainly an incredible experience"

Cress nodded and sipped her lemonade, holding back some tears that were visible for them to see. Winter tried to console her but failed. She let out a long breath. "Did K-Kai or Jaicin h-have trouble becom-coming a father?" She stuttered.

Ignoring her question, Cinder took one last sip of her drink. "If you want to have a baby, have a baby. Convince Thorne that's what you want. And if he doesn't accept, just contact me" She smirked. "We did escape jail together after all"

Throne placed the card on the table and smirked. He had won...again.

"How are you so good at this?" Wolf muttered.

"I have a lot of time"

"We don't" Kai laughed. "With kids around all the time, there's barely time for us."

"Haven't you thought of having children? Cress surely has" Jacin smirked.

"I don't know, man. It's just-what if...what if I'm a horrible father?"

"You think it was easy to change my too serious and dangerous traits to lovable and gentle? Please, all you have to do is learn to be a good example." Wolf finished.

"Bed time in 3 minutes, your highness" Nainsi informed the kids, that sat down in the play room.

"I can't believe you have your own port" Addilyn gaped at Alana, who was comming her friends from Luna.

"Believe it" Alana laughed. "Why don't you have yours yet?"

"My parents say I can't have one till I'm 12" rolling her eyes, Addilyn began to get ready for bed.

As she went to her bedroom, her parents wished her a goodnight.

Cinder woke up breathing heavily and wondering why she was sweating so much. She felt so dizzy...like she could faint at any moment. She took a look at her port, past midnight.

Looking over at Kai, who was fast asleep, Cinder got off the bed and into the bathroom. It wasn't an easy journey when her breathing was poor, was sweating like crazy, that and the bathroom was all the way to where the exit of the bedroom was.

Then she felt kicks. Cinder's eyes widened when she realized what was happening. Then and there, she felt the pop.

Kai must of heard her yelp because he was awake and alarmed as he ran in the bathroom. Quickly, he scooped her up and called in guards, nurses, as he speed-walked to the infirmary.

Now relaxed and settled, Cinder took deep breaths until she knew it would be fine. This has happened before and she would be fine.

After 6 hours of pain and ache in labor, then the pushing, Cinder was awake...holding her new baby.

Kai carefully kneeled to Cinder's bed and smiled at his new child...a boy. They stayed like that for a moment.

The nurse smiled at them as she asked:"And what will his name be, your majesties?"

It was their turn to smile. "Jolier" they chorused. The nurse nodded happily.

Everyone was excited to see the new prince. That's why there was this ball in he first place. This is where the prince would be introduced.

The emperor and empress walked into the indoor balcony, holding a little baby that was already in an expensive suit. Princess Addilyn looked excited to be introducing her new little brother.

"This little kid right here" Addilyn started. "Is my brother, Prince Jolier!" The crowd roared in amazement and happiness.

And in the very front, their friends cheered the loudest.
