JACIN CALLING CRESS 'SIS'

Jacin existed the Rampion's hatch with two cardboard boxes in his arms. He put them on the floor when they reached hospital's entrance. Thorne followed after him with more boxes. Cress should've come after him, but she didn't. She was probably sending a comm to the hospital about the arriving antidotes.

What if something happened to her? Jacin looked around, worryflashed across his face. He knew he should've stayed with her. If someone that posed a threat targeted Cress, he would be there. Like a big brother.

No one would question it, actually. They both had light hair with piercing blue eyes.

"Hey, Thorne. Where's my sis?" The words came tumbling out of his mouth it took a moment to realize what he said. "Erm- I mean, Cress."

Thorne stared at him, head tilted from the boxes that covered his face. Then burst out laughing. "Sis?"

"Shut up." Jacin rolled his eyes. Thorne laughed harder. "Stars, you're going to drop the antidotes."

"I knew you guys would grow into each other. But don't grow too much. She's taken by a certain captain."

"Cadet" Jacin corrected.

"Not anymore. Cinder got both America and Australia to excuse me. Besides, Kai and I are great friends. I have a job, you know."

Jacin said nothing. Thorne scoffed. "Cress is inside. Relax, mom."

KAI KISSING CINDER IN THE MIDDLE OF A CONVERSATION

Cinder signed the last dotted line and threw the pen back, sighing. She had been signing papers for the last hour and her hand hurt like hell. She leaned back into the sofa and glanced sideways. Kai was still signing papers. Unlike her, he'd been signing papers for practically all his life. He didn't seem tired nor did he put the pen down to relax his hand. He was used to this by now, she guessed.

"It's not nice to stare, Cinder." he grinned. Cinder blinked, not realizing she was actually staring.

"Aren't you tired of signing?" she asked instead.

"Not really." he put the pen down to look at her. "I used to watch my mom and dad sign papers for hours when I was bored." shrugging, he raised the pen again to continue.

"My hand hurts." she whined.

He smiled and looked back up at her. He took her hand in his and kissed it. "There. Does it feel better now?"

She nodded, hiding a smile.

"Who knew? The ex mechanic's hand hurts." Kai teased.

Cinder glared at him. "When I was a mechanic, I didn't read 14 page long contracts and sign all 30 dotted lines in each one-"

His lips brushed hers softly and then he pulled away, smirking. "You're cute when you're mad."

WOLF BEING PROTECTIVE OF THORNE

"Ow!" Thorne stared at his hand, then at the bandit. "I already lost two fingers, don't make me lose a third one."

The bandit didn't seem to care as he threw another punch. Thorne grabbed his wrist and kicked his abdomen. He staggered back and clutched his stomach as Thorne snatched his satchel back. Well, tried to.

Swinging a foot that made Thorne collapse, the bandit held on to the satchel and began to walk away soundlessly. Standing up, Thorne lunched a kick to his back and the bandit wobbled forward, almost falling.
