I shall to you my beloved
Gift the bindweeds of everland
Where men of supple character
Employ themselves of merchanteanous trade

I shall to you my beloved
Gift the morning glory.
A hue so blue resembles
Skies hovering the tranquil sea.

I shall to you my beloved
Gift the moonflower bright.
Blooming through the cold snow
As in spring, the dewly white.

I shall to you my beloved
Gift the strength of a moonvine.
Finding a channel through adversity
Letting your ethereal grace shine.

I shall to you my beloved
Make a gift of the lavender trumpet.
With resilience as my heartstrings grow
Shall lay for you the green carpet.

Poem explication

The poem is written on different species of the morning glory (my favorite flower I'd say). The morning glory is a magnificent flower that is used as a symbol for resilience, persistence and strength throughout centuries due the ability of the flower to thrive in varied climatic conditions.

In the first paragraph, the mention of everland a place where men of supple character work persistently is an allegory used to motivate the reader.

In the second stanza the blue hue of the flower is compared to blue skies to represent generosity and a big heart. Whereas the sea represents innocence and peace at its best.

The last three stanzas represent the motto of the poem and talk of perseverance and flexibility of character.
