numbers

I hate numbers
1,5,6,7,8
All numbers
Numbers that increase with each passing day
Numbers that I'm losing count of with each greying hair
Numbers that add on responsibility
Numbers that subtract the joy
Numbers that multiply my labor
And numbers that divide all of my life.
With each addition to my numbers
Limitations are set
With each passing of numbers
The clock is sped up
With each ticking of a number
A firefly ignites
With each passing of a number
A journey ends it's life
Life has become so simple
Yet complex
Numbers decide if I get to survive
Numbers look out for me
While numbers run down on me
Numbers have become the factor of my worth
Numbers now decide if I get to smile or twirl
Numbers run in my eyes and my veins
Blood now replaced with complex green card issued gains
