Fitz's POV:

"What are you talking about?" Sophie asked. "What are you even doing here?"

"We need to talk about whatever's going on between you too," Fitz gestured to Ruy and Sophie. "How long has this been going on?" The moment he and Rayni had caught them kissing would be forever imprinted in his head. He may not have a photographic memory like Sophie, but he couldn't erase it from his mind. Sophie was obviously trying not to hurt this guy's feelings, because last time he checked, she liked him. The only reason they broke up was for the Neverseen, and that was behind them now.

"That's actually not any of your business," Ruy scoffed. "She's my girlfriend. Right?" He asked, looking at Sophie. Sophie beamed at him and nodded happily. Ruy shot a there you have it look at Fitz. Fitz visibly flinched. Sophie likes Ruy. He knew he didn't deserve her, especially after he broke up with her because of the Neverseen, but he still felt hurt that she wouldn't choose him.

"It's been happening long before I met you," Sophie told him.

"Ruy makes me happy, more than you ever could," Fitz winced. She didn't say them coldly, but the words felt like daggers to his heart.

"Well then, I hope you're happy," he sighed and left the room quickly, not trusting himself to not punch Ruy in the face. As he was walking, he bumped into Biana.

"You okay?" She asked, looking at him carefully. Fitz wanted to nod, but she would see through it anyway, so he shook his head instead.

"I guess I'm not fully over Sophie yet," he confessed.

"You'll get over her," she told him sympathetically. "Sophie isn't the right one for you anyway, and she's happy with Ruy."

"I guess all that matters is that she's happy. If she can be that with Ruy, then I'll deal with it," Fitz agreed. Biana smiled and led him to where everyone else was.

"Besides, think about poor Keefe," She whispered, "Maybe you can help him get over her too, because even though he's not showing it, he's been moping ever since the ball when he saw them dancing together." she added.

Fitz was a horrible best friend. He knew Keefe liked Sophie too, and all he felt was jealousy over Ruy. He didn't stop to think that Keefe was hurting as much as he was, maybe even more. If Keefe touched him right now, all he would feel was guilt. He instantly rushed to where he was sitting on the couch.

Sophie POV:

Things were weird between her friends, but she didn't want to lose them. But her mind backtracked to when Ruy called her his girlfriend. She was tingling with excitement. She couldn't have nodded fast enough or smiled wide enough when he asked her. Now, standing with Ruy, she didn't know what to say.

"Did you mean what you said? That you were my girlfriend?" Ruy asked her, finally breaking the silence. Sophie blushed.

"Yeah," She answered softly, not daring to look at him yet, so she stared at the floor for a bit before gazing into his glimmering azure eyes. "Did you mean what you said, that you were my boyfriend?" she asked back.

"I mean everything I say about you Sophie. And I promise I will never hurt you," he told her. She could hear the unsaid implication. Not like Fitz did. She smiled gratefully and threw her arms around him, pulling him close. In answer, he wrapped his arms around her and pulled her against him.

"Okay, you two have to stop, it hurts my eyes more than Sparkle Town does to watch this for any longer," Ro interrupted, appearing from nowhere. Sophie pulled away from Ruy with a scowl, her cheeks flaming.

"Now what?" Sophie asked Ro, annoyed that they were interrupted yet again. The ogre rolled her eyes.

"Well, it wouldn't hurt to show us your fancy new world. But it better not have any sparkles," she warned. "I get enough of those in elf land."

Sophie sighed, "Well we have nothing better to do right now, so why not? Call everyone over to the leapmaster." She took Ruy's hand and they walked to the house to wait for the elves.
