I love the sun
I mean how could I not when it's the same sun everyone that's ever walked on this planet has felt on their skin
When it's the same sun all people fell in love under
How could I not, when it lights up your mysterious brown eyes revealing something entirely different underneath
Something unpredictable, confusing, and yet unmistakably beautiful Something so you!
And yet I hate the sun and how it makes me feel hot, how I can't escape it, how it burns my skin with its much-needed rays, how it forces me to remember every bad memory while under it.
But I guess that's how love is.
Bittersweet and complicated. Beneficial yet harmful.
So I guess it's okay if it burns a little.
And yet I find myself hating the way I don't hate it, all the while wishing I was.
So what do I do? Do I sit under the comfort of the cool shade, or do I risk it all hoping I don't burn in the process?
Tell me!
What do I do?
What do I feel?
Do I love the sun or do I resent it?
