At some point in our lives, we say we are fortunate enough to have met our best friends
To have met people who understand us better than anyone else
People we share our successes and our failures with.
We even say we share all of our secrets with them
But do we really?
Or am I the only one that however much I try, certain thoughts and stories remain unspoken of,
Even to the people I trust most.
It's a sad realization,
That I'll walk forever with stories inside me that the people I love most can never hear
Because this way they'll always be missing a part of me,
Even when I say they get to see all of me
