*DANIELA CRUZ walked into Monet's house, with a backpack on her shoulder, before noticing there were a bunch of police and federal agents in the house. She furrowed her eyebrows as she looked around for Monet or Lorenzo.
She saw Monet speaking to one of the detectives in the living room. Daniela saw Diana standing in the kitchen, causing her to walk over to her. She grabbed Diana's arm, pulling her upstairs, without uttering a word. Daniela ran upstairs, with Diana and entered her old bedroom.
Diana stood beside her dresser, as Daniela closed the door
"What happened? Why are all the feds downstairs?" Daniela questioned. "Detective Whitman." Diana stated. "What about that annoying ass white nigga?" Daniela asked. "He's dead." Diana informed, making her gasp. "Who did it? You or her?" Daniela asked, referring to Monet.
"It was Monet, but the police believe that he broke into the house." Diana said. "Self defense." Daniela figured. "Mhm, that's the card she's playing." Diana confirmed.
"Smart. We needed him out the way, so she did what she had to do. I'm just surprised you helped her with the whole thing. Y'all ain't really fucking with each other like that, right now." Daniela said.
"We're not, but she apologized, and it's always family first, remember?" Diana reminded. "How can I forget? Our dads preach it to us, every chance they fucking get." Daniela retorted. "Facts." Diana remarked.
"We gotta get to class, so, get dressed." Daniela told her.

"Good morning, class! Okay, I know you all are familiar with Councilman Tate." Professor Bennett spoke, as she pointed at Rashad Tate. "You mean, future congressman, Tate." Bru corrected. "Ah! That's the spirit! Thank you, Brushaundria!" Tate shouted, laughing.
"Yes, yes, keep hope alive! Okay, so he's here to help us with our topic today. Is America the land of rebirth, redemption, and reinvention?" Professor Bennett inquired.
"Second chances are the foundation of America. European settlers came here, in search of politic and religious freedom. Reinvention." Tate stated.
"And in the process, took the land of the indigenous. Look, reinvention is a privilege that was afforded based on who you are and... well, let's just face it, the color of your skin." Bru pointed out.
"Must everything be brought back to race?" Thomas questioned. "Damn right." Daniela and Bru replied, in union. "You know, generations ago, my family came here..." Thomas started. "Please don't say it." Ashley begged. "On the mayflower." Thomas continued, making everyone groan.
