"go on."
"right, so i kind of slipped back into my smoking habits." i admitted, watching the smile drop from his face. "but, i've not smoked for two weeks now. my mum caught me and we had a massive argument over it. i've been craving it really badly but i haven't caved. i didn't wanna tell you because i knew you wouldn't like it."
"oh." he swallowed, "i mean, i can't tell you what to do with your life but i just– i don't know, it scares me kinda. the way you used to get over it and stuff, i don't want you to ever, and i mean ever, get back to that stage."
"i won't let it happen, i promise you that. me and bill spoke about it–"
"bill knew?" tommy's eyebrows furrowed, "and he didn't tell me? bald bastard!"
"i told him not to, but i'm seriously done with it now."
"are you one hundred percent sure you're done with it, val?"
"a million percent." i promised, interlocking our fingers. "anyway, i'm playing in our minecraft world." changing the topic, i logged on.
my jaw dropped when i loaded in and noticed my pretty cottage i'd spent hours building had been, well, ultimately destroyed. turning my face, i noticed the guilty look spread over tommy's face.
"are you joking me?" i shouted, "why would you explode my fucking house? i hate you."
"i was live and everybody told me to, so i did! i have to do it, they payed me, valerie, they payed me!" he explained, desperation in his tone. "valerie you'd do it too for the money."
"tommy. where the fuck is peter?" i shouted, talking about my parrot i had locked in a glass enclosure.
"peter's erm..peter's dead." he mumbled, twiddling with his fingers.
"no. that's too far."
