if there's one thing valerie hated about having a famous boyfriend was the millions of teenage girls swooning over him. sure, he was hers, but it could help but aggravate her in a way. not in a way that she felt threatened, most of them were under sixteen, but opening instagram and seeing girls talking about how obsessed they are with him just didn't sit with her right.

when he convinced her to go on tour with him, it only made it worse. she was very much aware that witnessing the fangirls firsthand came with it, but she wanted to be a supportive girlfriend so she agreed nevertheless.

it was his final tour date and she couldn't help but admit to eleanor, jack's girlfriend, that she was glad it was over.

"i don't know how it doesn't bother you, to be honest." valerie stated, "maybe i'm toxic."

"i don't know, maybe it's just because i know they can look but i touch, you get what i'm saying? i've never been the jealous type though, maybe that's where we're different." eleanor spoke, shutting her laptop once her video finally rendered. "i'm glad it's over too though, i've missed going out with jack."

"thinking about it, it's probably because i've been exhausted the whole tour so everything's angering me." valerie admitted, "because girls our age have literally come over and flirted with him right in front of me and i wasn't bothered."

"you are very miserable when you're tired, i do love you though."

letting out a chuckle followed by a yawn, valerie rested her head comfortably on eleanor's shoulder. whenever her and jack first got together and they got introduced to eachother, they immediately clicked. it started a bond that was inseparable and eleanor was almost like a big sister to her, just like jack was a big brother.

tommy and jack often joked about how eleanor was stealing tommy's girlfriend and vice versa, but they had absolutely no room to talk with the bromance between them and the other boys in the friendship group.

"freddie badlinu how i've missed you!" valerie grinned at the taller boy who placed himself next to the pair, his dog costume covering his body.

"hi val, hi ellie," freddie yawned, "tommy and jack are coming back here in a second, think they're just talking to joe."

"how was the last show?"

"incredible, i can't wait to be back in my own bed though."

"same, i was just telling eleanor about it."

tommy walked through the door and valerie had never felt happier to be faced with a sweaty mess in her life. running over she engulfed him into a hug, kissing his face despite the sweat dripping down it.

"proud of you, tom." she whispered.

"thank you, v. i'm gonna miss touring a lot." tommy frowned, "already ready to do another."

"next time i will come to a few shows, i'm sorry but the beds on the tour bus are so uncomfortable i'm not doing that for like two weeks ever again, no matter how much i love you."

"i think they're pretty comfy." jack disagreed with valerie's statement.

"maybe that's because you're more bendable than i? i don't know, i find them very fucking uncomfortable." valerie scoffed at the comment.

"maybe i am," jack shrugged. "when are you two gonna go like, i don't know, social media official?"

tommy and valerie shared a look, neither of them knowing the answer to the question. they simply shrugged and brushed it off, getting everything ready to leave the venue and make their way back to brighton.
