it was safe to say valerie was having what one could describe as a bad day. for starters, she was running off of two hours of sleep. secondly, she had an outfit in mind but the shirt she wanted to wear was soaking wet. thirdly, her hoodie got stuck on the door on her way downstairs. everything was irritating her, and tommy had chosen the absolute worst day to turn up late to her house. thankfully for her mum, she had an early shift, therefor she didn't have to deal with what one would describe as the angriest girl on earth.
"vally wally doesn't wear a bally she's gonna have a paddy." tommy mumbled under his breath as valerie opened her front door. "morning, woman."
"tommy, i'm going to give you one warning. i'm having a bad day. don't even piss me off."
"why, what happened?" tommy questioned, valerie following him outside.
the two had planned to go on a walk to a random field whilst it was a nice day. the sun was gleaming, and normally that would lighten her mood, not today.
"don't even know where to fucking start–"
"have you had enough sleep?" cutting her off, tommy knew the answer to his own question.
"no, no tommy i haven't." valerie shook her head vigorously, "i'm so mad. i don't even know why."
"okay, i'll try tone my jokes down today." tommy spoke, though he didn't know if he was telling her or telling himself.
that promise didn't last much longer, he was making stupid jokes and laughed at the wrong time. to top it all off she was wearing white shorts, that now were stained from sitting on the grass. shooting tommy a death glare, his mouth instantly closed.
a frown sat apparent on her face, her arms were crossed over her chest and she didn't speak a word. you could almost describe the way she was acting as a four year old that's just been told no.
"do you want to go back to mine? yours maybe? you can have a nap, i'll order some food and we can cyber bully jack manifold." he suggested, knowing the key to valerie's heart. valerie didn't reply, she simply nodded and the two made the walk back to tommy's, seeing as it was closer to the field.
once they'd made it inside, valerie insisted on borrowing tommy's joggers. they barely fit, but anything was better than her now stained white shorts. she made herself comfortable in his bed, using tommy as her own personal pillow. within five minutes, snores could be heard leaving her mouth.
sleep was massive for valerie, and without fail it showed in her mood on a daily whether she'd had enough or not. it might not be anybody else's problem, but she was sure to change that.
taking a picture of her sleeping soundly against his chest, he sent it to rue, captioning it with val big mad cos she had no sleep pls help what do i do when she wakes up?'
rue simply replied with the exact things he was planning on doing either way. though he was almost certain he was right anyway, it was always better to be safe than sorry and get advice from another woman.
once valerie woke up, he did exactly as he'd promised her. they ordered a massive pizza and finished it within ten minutes as if it was their last meal, and continued to shout abuse at jack manifold over a discord call whilst he was streaming.
"you was being so miserable this morning, you know." tommy instantly regretted the words leaving his mouth when he watched valerie's face drop. "that wasn't an invitation to go back into your mood, mardy bum."
"i love that song!"
