Chapter 33

The start of the doubles matches was a match between Russel Thrush and Sky Lark of team CRDL and Penny and Ciel of Atlas. To say it was going well for team CRDL—

Russel:*panting as he runs from Penny who was launching her swords at him*

Would be a lie..

Russel and Sky hide behind two boulders as Penny imbeds her swords into the rocks with a confident smirk on her face while Ciel taps her watch to signal Penny to wrap up the match.

Penny brings up her hands, and the boulders begin to float upwards with Russel and Sky clinging onto them while they scream in terror.

Russel: Whoa!!

She then thrusts her hands downwards and the boulders smash into the ground on top of Russel and Sky, winning her and Ciel the match.

BZZZT!

Dr.Oobleck: And victory goes to Penny and Ciel of Atlas!

Penny bows in respect to her opponents, although she really shouldn't, and thanks them for the experience of fighting them in the tournament.

The crowd cheers for the girls while Ruby runs off to congratulate her friend on her victory.

Ruby: Penny!

Penny:*turns around* Ruby!

Penny glomps Ruby with a hug but due to her weight, she brings herself and Ruby down to the floor.

Ruby:*strained* Why....?

Penny shoots up to her feet and introduces Ruby to her teammate, Ciel Soleil, who greets Ruby with a small bow.

Ruby: Hi! I'm Ru-

Ciel: Ruby Rose, 15, hails from Patch, Leader of team RWBY. Status: questionable.

Although confused, Ruby ignores her last comment and just continues with what she was going to say.

Ruby: So....Penny! You two were incredible out there! How do you keep control of all those swords?! It's so cool—!

Ciel: Ahem! Penny. I believe it is best if we move on to our next location.

Penny: Could we have just a minute to talk?

Ciel looks at her watch and nods her head before backing up from the two friends to give them a minute to talk to each other.

Ruby: So, is she...your friend or....

Penny: Well, in a way. She's like Blake. But if Blake was ordered to spend time with you.

Ruby: Oh, so Weiss.

Penny: Precisely!

Weiss:*sneezes*

Ruby: Does she know about...you know..."beep boop bop, does not compute?"

Penny: Oh no. General Ironwood doesn't really want anyone to know. There was an incident with a magnet, but I was able to play it off.

Penny flashbacks to when her and Ciel were at the bazaar where a magnet had stuck itself to her head and she covered it with a sun hat she had gotten.

Ruby/Penny:*laughing*

Penny: Ruby, there's something I've been wanting to talk to you about.

Penny looks over at Ciel who was staring at her watch. She then whispers to Ruby what she's been thinking about for a long time.

Penny: I want to stay at Beacon.

Ruby: Penny, they'll never let you do that.

Penny: I know. But I have a plan.
