It's been several months since the Fall of Beacon, and the world of Remnant is still recovering. Tensions are high, lives have been lost, and the members of Team RWBY... are divided. Each of our heroines now faces a journey of their own. While some must search inward if they ever hope to move on, others will venture out into the world in search of answers. Alongside the remaining members of Team JNPR, Ruby Rose has begun the long trek to the kingdom of Mistral, but the road ahead is full of surprises. New friends and enemies await, while the threat of an even larger catastrophe draws near. Something dark is casting a shadow over Remnant once again. Something darker than the Grimm. Something that only one being was able to defeat. Now, that task falls to his son.

In the Land of Darkness, Grimm spawn from pools of a black, viscous, tar-like substance. A large paw emerges from within the slime and a Beowolf gradually crawls out, slime sliding off of it and onto the ground.

The camera pans out to show several such pools and many Beowolves emerging. It pulls further and further out to show a mostly dark and desolate land made up of red ground, purple crystals, and a red and black clouded sky. In the middle of the land stood a tall knight in black armor with a dark purple cape flowing in the wind with a sword tucked at his side that he draws slowly as the Beowolves approached him. His piercing orange eyes glow through the slits in his helmet as he takes a battle stance.

Two Beowolves lunges at the knight but were swiftly cut down with a single swing of his large sword. He then turns around and slams the weapon downwards, cutting a Beowolf in half before another one jumps on his back and begins to claw and bite at his armor but it didn't seem to effect him.

With a short grunt, the knight lets out a burst of electricity from his body that shocks the Beowolf on his back and kills it by throwing it off his back and shooting it with two lasers that come from his eyes, incinerating it in an instant.

More Beowolves came out of the tar and ran towards the knight who stood there watching them until he raised his sword above his head, channeling his power through the blade and slashing a wave of energy diagonally that cuts through all of the Grimm in a single devastating attack.

The image of the knight shimmers and we see Mercury Black and Emerald Sustrai reflected in a window, watching from inside a high building. Emerald has her hand to her mouth while Mercury seems slightly disgusted. A gloved hand appears between two and snaps its fingers.

A wide shot reveals a large windowed room, at the center of which is a long purple, crystal table. Four people sit at the table with seven chairs. One of them is Cinder Fall with a predominately large stomach. Emerald and Mercury move away from the window.

We now see a wide show of new faces to the story. Arthur Watts who was looking at his scroll rather than being apart of the conversation, Tyrian Callows who sat to Cinders right sitting casually with his arm rested on his knee.

Across from Tyrian sat Hazel Rainhart who had his arms crossed while his eyes were shut.

In the back stood Bludgeon with his arms crossed looking bored while now sporting a scar across his armor while also wielding the broken Yamato at his side.
