Changed

Chapter One

There they were. Naruto and Sasuke, sitting on top of the Hokage Monument. Their final battle was havoc.

They'd both lost their arms, but Naruto was getting a prosthetic. Sasuke didn't want to get hers replaced.

Kakashi had chosen Naruto to become Hokage when he stepped down.

"So... Looks like you managed to do it after all." "Huh? Do.. what?" Sasuke facepalmed. "Bring me back. You promised. And you fulfilled that promise."

"I also promised to change you. I'm still working on that part heh..." Naruto laughed nervously. Sasuke smiled.

"Naruto?" "Hmm?" "Can I ask you something?" "Yeah what is it?" "Why were you so determined to bring me back?"

"You still haven't figured it out? It's because we're friends, Sasuke. I couldn't just leave you like that." "I hurt you... So many times. I tried cutting our bond. I almost killed you when we were younger. Why?"

"It's simple. Our bond is the thick rope that's just too strong to cut. That sounded better in my head. But you get what I'm trying to say." She did. The bond was inseparable.

"Naruto... If I were to change... Would you still accept me as your friend?" "Always and forever, Sasuke."

Naruto sat down next to Sasuke. The sun was setting now. Naruto pretended to yawn to put his arm around Sasuke.

"What are you doing?" "Nothing." Naruto put his arm back. "Hn." Sasuke smiled. She laid her head on Naruto's shoulder.

"What if we weren't friends? Another bond that was even stronger?" "Best? Friends?" "No, Baka. What if I wanted to change our relationship? To something more."

"Like... Boyfriend and Girlfriend?" Naruto asked. Sasuke nodded. "Sure. Wait..." "Nope. You said sure." "I-i wasn't thinking at the time! It was in the heat of the moment!"

"Too late~" "Hey! Why'd you say it like that?!" "We're boyfriend and girlfriend now. Remember what you said?"

"I said it was an accident!" "Fine. I guess I'll leave the village again." "What?! You can't do that!" "Who's gonna stop me?" Naruto gave her a blank stare. "See? That's the reason you need to be my boyfriend. In case I do leave."

"You know, it wouldn't be that bad." Sasuke smirked. "Shit, did I say that out loud!?"  "Yep." Sasuke snuggled up to Naruto.

'What did I get myself into?' Naruto looked at Sasuke. She fell asleep instantly. Naruto picked her up.

'Since we're dating now, it wouldn't be weird for her to sleep in my bed. Would it?'

That's what Naruto did. He carried Sasuke home and put her in his bed. He... Slept on the couch.

But he fulfilled his promise... He changed Sasuke. For the better. Not for him though...
