Chapter Seventeen

Naruto fell asleep in his office. Sasuke knocked on the door. "Naruto?" She opened the door.

"Baby. Wake up." Naruto sat up. "I changed Menma's diaper already." Naruto laid his head back down.

"Naruto." Naruto sat up. He had a paper stuck to his head. "Oh. Hey, Sasuke." Sasuke picked up an empty bottle of sake.

"Have you been drinking?" "What? No." Naruto hiccuped. Sasuke picked up Naruto and carried him back home.

She originally went over there to see why he was still at work. Sasuke set Naruto down and called Shikamaru.

"You're the shadow Hokage. Do you know why Naruto was drinking?" "Tsunade said it was good for young people. And Naruto being the dumbo he is, he believed her."

"I'll show you, Iruka Sensei. I'll definitely become Hokage!" Naruto was still asleep. Sasuke smiled.

"Mom?" "Yes, sweetie?" "Why is Daddy sleeping on the floor? Isn't that uncomfortable?"

Menma was four now. He grew up so fast. "Daddy thought it was comfortable." Naruto woke up. "Woah. That's the last time I trust Lady Tsunade."

Naruto looked up. "Oh. Hey, Sasuke." Sasuke had an irritated stare. "What'd I do?"

"You really listened to Tsunade about sake?" "Well, the old ones are wise. Like master Jirayia." "Master Jirayia was a pervert." "Yeah. But a wise one." Naruto was still drunk a little.

Sasuke rolled her eyes. Naruto sat up. "Daddy. Why were you sleeping on the floor?" "Well... Uhm..."

"Mommy said you said it was comfortable." "It was comfortable." "Really?"

"Yeah. But you know what's even more comfortable?" "Your bed?" "Nope. Mommy's more comfortable than anything here."

Sasuke smacked the back of his head. "What?" Naruto rubbed his head. "Don't." "Okay okay. Sheesh."

Naruto stood up and picked up Menma. "Okay, buddy. Let's go back to bed." "Okay, Daddy."

Naruto tucked him in. "Daddy?" "Yeah?" "Can you tell me how you and mommy met?" "W-well it's a long story."

"I'll tell you sweetie." "Oh no." "Shush."

"Me and Daddy weren't always close. The first time we met was in the academy. Me and your father were complete opposites."

"When was your first kiss?" "Okay time for bed." "When we had our first kiss, Daddy was jealous of me. He stood on my desk and stared me in the eye."

"Great story right? Okay night night." "Someone bumped into his butt, and our lips touched."

"And she had to say it. You couldn't say it was under a tree or something?" "No cause that wouldn't be true."

Menma closed his eyes. "Goodnight, baby." Sasuke kissed his forehead. "Goodnight, mommy."

Naruto took off his jacket and placed it on Menma. "Sweet dreams kiddo." "Night, daddy."

"What was wrong with the story?" "It was embarrassing!" "Awe. Is my Naruto embarrassed about our first kiss?" Sasuke pinched his cheek.

Naruto went behind Sasuke and rested his head on her shoulder. "No. It's just embarrassing when you tell the story. Just know, I pretended to gag back then."

Naruto rubbed his hands on Sasuke. "Menma just went to sleep." "So?" "Wait a little longer." "How long is that?" "An hour." "That's a long time for a little longer."

"Wow Captain obvious." "Thank yo- hey!" Sasuke giggled. Naruto yawned. "I love you, Sasuke." "I love you too."
