Chapter Twenty-Two

"You guys. Dinners ready!" It was dinner time. The time of day Menma and Naruto couldn't wait for.

"I'll beat you there!" Menma raced to the kitchen. Naruto was already leaning against the table.

"Hey! No fair!" "I'm just faster than you." Sasuke had already put the plates down. "Agh! Vegetables!" The boys said at the same time.

"Yep. And you're gonna eat it." "I'm not eating this." "Me either." "Don't move from that spot until those vegetables are gone!"

Menma pouted, and Naruto slammed his head against the table. They sat there for the rest of the night.

Menma sat there for the whole night playing with his food, and Naruto was asleep on the table. Sasuke walked into the kitchen and yawned.

"Wha! You guys are still here!?" "I'm not eating this!" "So you didn't go to work?! And you didn't go to school?!"

"You said don't move!" "You two really are similar, it's killing me." She facepalmed.

Sasuke took off her house shoe. "Uh oh." Menma turned blue. Naruto gulped.

One Whooping Later...

Naruto was rubbing his rear end. Menma was in his room, the door closed. Small sobs could be heard.

"Naruto. Give me your belt." "What?!"

One Whooping Exclusive To Naruto Later...

Naruto was shriveled up in the corner of his room. "That should teach you." "You said don't move." "What?" She raised his belt. "Nothing ma'am."

"That's what I thought. Now come here." Naruto climbed into bed. He faced away from Sasuke. She turned him over.

She placed her hand on his cheek. "What did we learn?" "Always eat our vegetables." Naruto sniffled.

"Always eat our vegetables." She brought his head to her chest. "I figured you of all people would know, Naruto."

"I'm sorry." "I can't stay mad at you, or Menma. Stay here." Sasuke got out of bed and went to the fridge.

"What does Menma like the most?" She grabbed a plate of chocolate chip cookies and poured a glass of milk.

She opened his door. "Menma, sweetie?" He was covered up in his blanket. "Menma?" He uncovered his blue eyes.

"I brought you some cookies." She placed them on his desk. "I'm sorry, sweetie." She rubbed his back.

"Are you mad at me?" Menma covered back up. Sasuke sighed. She climbed into his bed.

"Menma." He uncovered his face again. "Are you mad at me?" He shook his head. She grabbed a cookie and gave it to him.

He took a bite and put it back on the tray. "What do you want for dinner?" "Something without vegetables." Sasuke smiled.

Later that night...

Naruto and Menma were sitting at the kitchen table. Sasuke placed down the plates.

"Vegetables..." Sasuke put on a closed eye smile. "We don't want a repeat of this morning, do we?"

Naruto and Menma ate their vegetables. Tonight anyways...
