Chapter Sixteen

Today was Naruto's birthday. Naruto was sleeping on the couch after coming home late last night. His First day as Hokage, and he's already staying late.

Sasuke and all of Naruto's friends were there. Sasuke was holding Menma. "Okay," she whispered.

"Three, two, one." "Surprise!" Naruto fell off the couch. "Jeez. What's the occasion?"

"It's your birthday, dummy." "Oh that's right. How did I forget my own birthday?"

Naruto took Menma from Sasuke. "You guys didn't have to do this. Really." "Yeah we did. You were always there for us. It's our turn to be here for you."

Menma babbled and hugged Naruto. "Awe." The group said in unison. Naruto smiled.

Naruto walked in the kitchen. "Oh guys... You really shouldn't have done this." There was a cake with a Naruto and Sasuke.

There were wrapped gifts. They all sang happy birthday to Naruto. Sasuke fed Menma a small piece of cake.

Everyone ate some too. Choji had three pieces. Naruto balanced three cherries on top of his nose.

"And for the final act..." Sasuke took a cherry. "Aw why'd you do that?" The cherries fell off of his nose.

"Ah great." Sasuke smiled and ate the cherry. "Okay. Naruto. Want to open your gifts?"

"Yes!" "Psst!" He looked over. Sasuke pointed at hers. He opened it. "No way. Sasuke did you really buy this?"

She nodded. It was the ramen maker. "It even has old man Teuchi's initials! Thank you Sasuke!"

He hugged her. "Wait. Here hold Menma." Sasuke jogged to the room. She came back with the limited edition ramen.

"I bought these cause I thought you might like them. And because your face was on it." She took Menma back.

Naruto smiled. "Thank you. I don't know how to repay you." "You gave us Menma. That's enough."

"Oh. I also bought this." She gave Naruto one of Jirayia's books. "Pervy Sensei's book... Thank you.. Sasuke."

Sasuke kissed him. "Anytime, my dear."

Naruto opened the other gifts. But the best gift of all was easily his family.
