Chapter Twenty-Five

Naruto was putting his shoes on. He yawned. "Another tiring day ahead." He sighed.

"Maybe I shouldn't have been Hokage. Maybe Sakura? Nah." Naruto stood up and popped his back.

"I'll see you later Sasuke." "Aren't you gonna eat breakfast?" "I'll just pick something up on the way there. Love you."

"I love you too." Naruto left the house. "How come Dad didn't eat?" "He really needed to go. He was late."

"Okay." Menma was playing with Satsuki. She kept reaching for Menma. She babbled.

"She really likes playing with you, huh?" "Yeah. It's almost weird." "How so?" "Whenever I set her down, she starts crying. But stops when I pick her up. She even laughs when I pick her back up."

Sasuke smiled.

Naruto's stomach growled. "Ugh, I should've eaten breakfast at home. Sasuke cooking sounds really good right now."

Speaking of Sasuke, she walked into his office. "Ah Sasuke! Please tell me you brought something for me to eat."

"Not this time, sorry." Naruto brought his head down. "Kidding. Here." Naruto's eyes lit up. "Thank you, Sasuke." He ran and hugged her.

"Let me guess. You didn't eat anything before I came here?" Naruto laughed nervously. "No, actually."

"Were you just waiting for me to bring you something?" "Yeah, to be honest." "My cooking is that good, huh?" Naruto nodded as he ate from the box lunch Sasuke gave him.

"Anyway, you should get back to work. I love you." "I love you too." Sasuke left his office.

"Sucks she had to leave. Oh well. With her cooking, it's like she's still here. Until I eat it all... This sucks."

Sasuke smiled from behind the door. She walked away.

After Naruto ate and finished all his work, it was time to go home. At 10:34. Naruto opened the front door to his house and walked in.

"Man, I'm hungry." He kicked his shoes off and walked into the kitchen. "Hey, Babe." "Hey, Sasuke."

"Here you go." "Thank you." He kissed his wife. "Mhmm." She smiled. "This is probably the earliest I've been home the entire time I have been Hokage."

Naruto sighed. "I just wish I could be home more often." "It's not your fault. Menma understands. Leading the village is a tough job. He just hopes you're there for his graduation at the academy."

"He's my son. I'll definitely be there." "Speaking of which, his graduation exam is tomorrow." "Uh, you didn't tell him the story did you?"

"No I didn't." Naruto sighed. "Eat up. Your food is gonna get cold." "Say less." Naruto ate everything on his plate. Even the vegetables.
