Chapter Nine: Battle of Destiny

"Aya what are you doing?" Neera raised her frost spear and pointed it at Aya.

Aya charged towards Neera, pulling her laser cannon back, and swinging it as she got close. The cannon connected with Neera's chest, throwing her into a wall. Neera grunted as she hit the wall and dropped to her knees. She quickly hopped up and swung her spear at Aya, "I don't want to hurt you!" Neera shouted, trying to stop Aya. Aya blocked Neera's spear and with her free hand, grabbed onto Neera's arm and swung her around, slamming her into the floor.

Aya went to smash in Neera's face with her laser cannon, but Neera rolled out of the way as Aya's cannon connected with the floor, leaving a large dent. Neera swung her spear in between Aya's legs and yanked on it, tripping Aya up, and pushing her away. Neera was trying to be as non-lethal as possible. She truly didn't want to hurt Aya.

Neera placed the tip of her spear against Aya's chest, "Aya...please, stand down!" Neera begged.

"Never," Aya growled, she wrapped her feet around Neera's leg and twisted, tripping her. The tip of Neera's spear slashed across Aya's chest, leaving a decently deep gouge in her chest. It didn't seem to bother Aya though. As Neera fell, Aya swung her laser cannon and slammed it into the side of Neera's head. Neera yelled in pain as she felt the hard metal connect with her skull. She fell to the ground, everything blurry and dizzy.

As Neera was disoriented, Aya grabbed onto her spear and yanked it out of Neera's hands. She spun it in her hands and sheathed it on her back. She turned away from Neera and placed two fingers against the communicator attached to her ear before speaking, "General Serpentine, the threat is neutralized. I am-!"

Something connected with the back of Aya's head, causing her to grunt in pain, "Augh!" She yelled, whirling around to see that Neera had gotten back to her feet, "You don't give up, do you?" She growled.

"I don't," Neera said. Aya ran at Neera, pulling her arm back and attempting to swung it at Neera. Neera charged forward, before dropping to her behind and sliding on the ground, sliding right between Aya's legs. She grabbed onto her spear attached to Aya's back and entered a combat stance, spear pointed at Aya, "I'm sorry."

"No," Aya raised her blaster at Neera, and fired a few bolts of plasma, which Neera easily dodged to the side. Aya swung her laser cannon at Neera, catching Neera's spear in between the barrels. Neera swiped at Aya's leg with her own, but missed. Aya responded with a swift knee to the stomach. Neera tried to pull away from Aya, but Aya twisted her laser cannon, snapping Neera's Frost Spear in two.

Neera shouted in anger, "ENOUGH!" She grabbed onto Aya's laser cannon and pushed it out of the way, grabbing onto the half of her spear that still had the blade attached. She swung it at Aya, who blocked the attack with the gauntlet on her left arm. The blade pierced right through the metal and cut at Aya's arm. Neera swung her blade a few more times, giving Aya multiple cuts to the arm.

Aya shrieked in pain and charged her laser cannon, before rolling away from Neera and raising it, firing a heavy charged blast at Neera. Neera dodged out of the way and threw her blade at Aya, who caught it in the air with her hand. She swung it around and threw it right back at Neera, who deflected it with the other half of her spear.

Aya ran forward as Neera was distracted. She slid under a punch that Neera threw, and slammed her laser cannon into the side of Neera's head again, knocking her unconscious. The last thing that Neera saw was Aya standing above her, "General Serpentine. Target neutralized. I am returning to base."

"PERFECT! RETURN TO BASE COMMANDER FAE!"
