Aya shot awake in her bed, quickly sitting up and looking around. Her entire body covered in a cold sweat, "Gah!" She shouted as she placed her hand against her forehead. Aya sighed, feeling as her head throbbed in pain. She looked around the room. Cold. Just like how Neera liked it. Speaking of, as Aya glanced to her side, Neera wasn't laying in the bed with her.

Instead, Neera was standing at the doorway, adorned in her royal guard attire, and her newly rebuilt Frost Spear in her hands, "Aya?" Neera asked, tilting her head to the side slightly, "Another nightmare?"

"Mhm," Aya rubbed her forehead, feeling it continue to throb against her palm.

"Look," Neera sighed, glancing at the floor and then back to Aya, "The Magister needs me for an important meeting. Once that's over, we'll talk about this, okay? Just...try to go back to sleep," Neera said, not even giving Aya a chance to respond before leaving the bedroom and closing the door.

Aya lay in the bed for a moment after Neera had left, tossing and turning, trying to get back to sleep. She couldn't. Her nightmares had plagued her for over a year now. They were constant, terrible, and would almost always cause Aya to wake up crying, or covered in sweat, or both. Aya couldn't handle lying in bed anymore. She pulled the blankets off of her, and quickly slipped out of her nightgown and into her royal guard attire. Since she had been transferred to Shang-Tu, Aya was given a new guard outfit. She thought it was quite wonderful. Neera thought it was a little too revealing.

A few hours later, Aya found herself sitting atop the Royal Palace roof, staring off at the Shang-Tusian city. The slight breeze ruffled Aya's hair, sending a chill through Aya's body. She could often find herself thinking about Shuigang when she was alone. Hoping that her home, her kingdom, was safe. She knew Dail was going to be safe. After all, she'd often be called to Shuigang to make sure that everything was up to code. It usually was.

Aya's train of thought was interrupted by someone clearing their throat behind her, "Ahem," The person spoke, trying to get Aya's attention.

"Oh, Neera sorry I-" Aya said as she turned around, but was surprised by the sudden appearance of a different panda, "Spade?" Aya suddenly became defensive, reaching behind her and grabbing a small device attached to her back.

"Yeah, sorry I ain't your girlfriend, but I've got some news for you," Spade said, crossing his arms and leaning against a small pillar.

"Why should I listen to you? You're a red scarf!" Aya said, balling her hands into fists.

"Exactly. If the message wasn't important, why would I come this far into Shang-Tusian territory?" Spade said, giving Aya a look that said "duh".

"If the message is so important that you're willing to sneak up on a royal guard, why don't you take it to your brother?" Aya asked, gritting her teeth, showing off her small fangs to Spade.

"My brother?" Spade scoffed, "I tried! Dail's too much of an idiot to listen," Spade growled, "But whatever. Doesn't matter. You can do something with my info or not, but I'm still gonna give it to you," Spade grabbed something from out of his pocket and tossed it over to Aya, who caught it in the air.

"What's this?" Aya looked down at it.

"A data disk, idiot. You call yourself a royal guard and you don't even know what a data disk is?" Spade scoffed again, shaking his head slightly, "Take it to the Magister, he's gonna want to see it," Spade sighed, crossing his arms again.

"Hmph," Aya seemed slightly offended by Spade calling him an idiot, "Fine," Aya pushed out her bottom lip and stuck her tongue out at Spade, "I will."

Aya turned around to look down at the data disk in her hands. She rubbed her fingers across the small emblem imprinted on the side. Brevon's logo. Aya felt a cold chill run through her body. And this time, it wasn't due to the breeze. Aya turned around to ask Spade a question, but when she looked at where he was standing, he was gone.

"Maybe I should take this to the Magister."
