More survivors were pulled from the rubble as the hours passed, but no Amber or Chilli. Leslie began bawling her eyes out. Kelly and Adam leaned next to her.

"They'll find her, don't worry."

"Amber and I were supposed to get married tomorrow. I don't know what I'm going to do if I lose her. I love her so much."

"Everyone is doing what they can, we just don't know what's going to happen." Kelly rubbed her back.

"Guys, I got something!" Kim waved Al and Antonio to where she was standing.

"What is it?" Al asked.

She started shaking and pointing to something. Antonio peered down at what she was pointing to. Chilli's arm could be seen and they dug to where she was. Kim put two fingers on her wrist to try and feel for a pulse. Antonio helped dig her out and leaned his head against her chest.

"Do you feel anything?" Kim asked.

"I feel a heartbeat, but it's very very faint."

"GET HER OUT!" She screamed, as he yelled for a backboard to be lowered.

When her body was moved, another body was lying underneath. This body had their back to them, so they turned it over.

"...that's Amber..."

"Is she alive?"

Kim placed her hand over Amber's heart and felt nothing. She tried CPR on her, but Amber's body remained unmoving.

"She's...she's..."

"Come here." Al outstretched his arms and pulled her into a hug.

"We need to get her out of here..."

"Can we have another backboard down here?!"

This time it was Matt and Boden who lowered one down. Kim climbed the ladder first, grabbing the top of the board as they lifted her out. They rushed her down to the ambo and placed her on a stretcher.

"Clear!" Sylvie yelled as she tried shocking her. Amber's body remained still.

"CLEAR!" She tried shocking her again. "Damn it." She felt for a pulse and heartbeat, but heard nothing. She tried to shock her one more time. Peter came around to the back of the ambulance and put a hand on Sylvie's shoulder.

"You gotta stop."

"You can't say that! I'm not giving up until she opens her eyes!"

"She was trapped for hours, with little to no oxygen, her heart gave out."

"Peter, respectfully, shut your mouth. I'm not listening to that!"

"She won't be suffering anymore."

"I REFUSE!"

"She was trapped, unable to move. You have to let her go."

She wiped a tear from her eye. "Can you bring Leslie over here?"

"Of course."

Kim had been trying to calm Leslie down, but was ignored. They looked over to see Peter coming towards them.

"Did you guys get her to open her eyes?"

"Come with me?" He said.

She looked back at Kim and they walked over to the ambulance. Sylvie stepped out and let Leslie inside. She took Amber's hand in hers.

"I'd give anything to trade places with you right now. I love you."

Amber's eyes didn't open, nor did she make any signs of movement. Leslie laid her head down on her chest.

"I need you, Ember needs you."

In another ambulance, they were trying to shock Chilli awake. The medic attending to Chilli put on his stethoscope to listen for a heartbeat. He moved it to different spots on her chest, but was having trouble. He again tried feeling and listening for a heartbeat.

"How is she?" Kim asked, coming over to the ambulance.

"I can do nothing more."

"Is she...?"

He slowly shook his head yes.

"She had a heartbeat when the found her. How did it fade so fast?!"

"There was a lack of oxygen and her heart gave out."

"Why didn't you let me go in there? If you had, they both might still be alive!" Adam yelled.

"Look what happened to me! My head is bloody, my legs are scrapped and bruised, I have a gash in my arm. If you weren't careful, your could've ended up back in the hospital. That's the last thing we need right now!" Kim yelled.

"They're both dead because no one got to them quick enough!"

"We dug and we dug for hours!"

"We lost Julie and now Amber...why does everything have to happen to us?"

"I can't believe she's gone..."

"I feel like an ass right now."

"Why?"

"I flipped out at Amber her first day on the job. I said no one and I meant no one would or could replace Julie."

"I don't know how many more friends I can take to lose..."

"I'm sorry for yelling at you."

"I should've let you go in there. They would be alive right now if I had."

"Let it out, just let it all out."

"Can I join the hug?" Leslie came into view, her face pink.

"Get over here."

The three of them stood there, in a group hug as they cried.
