It had been a week since everything happened with Arlo and her brother. Mrs. Moskowitz had told her mother what happened after Arlo explained it to her. Arlo hadn't been back to her own home, other than to get more clothes when no one was there. Mrs. Moskowitz had allowed Arlo to stay at their house for as long as she needed, which Arlo was very thankful for.

Hawk and Arlo were sitting in their PSAT testing room. They sat in the back of the classroom. Partially so they could talk but also because Arlo didn't want to sit near her brother, who was sitting in the front row with one of his friends from football.

"I'm surprised he's even here." Arlo looked up at her brother. "He hasn't been here all week."

"If he comes near you, I'm not afraid to knock him out." Hawk raised his eyebrows as he spoke.

"Thanks." Arlo laughed as she turned her head to look at him. "I'm pretty sure I can do it though. You know, considering I flipped him over my shoulder."

"I know." Hawk shrugged. "I just want you to know I'll protect you."

   Arlo smiled. "Thank you."

Hawk was about to say something back, but the teacher shouted at the two of them to stop talking. Everyone in the classroom, including Asher, turned to look at the duo. They stared at everyone giving them all a 'what' look, and they all turned back to look at their desks. Arlo and Hawk looked at each other and started laughing quietly.

After the test was over, Demetri, Miguel, and Aisha were sat on a bench at a park. Arlo and Hawk were practicing fighting behind the bench, while Bert stood beside the two waiting for his turn.

Arlo kicked Hawk in the stomach, swept his legs, and punched him in the chest once he was one the ground.

"Point!" Bert shouted as Arlo helped Hawk off of the ground.

Arlo wiped the grass off of Hawk's back and walked around to sit between Aisha and Miguel on the bench.

"Come on, eat something it'll make you feel better." Demetri sighed as he tried to lighten Miguel's mood.

"I told you I'm not hungry, man." Miguel looked at the sandwich in his hands.

Demetri tried reasoning with Miguel. "I still think your overreacting.
