Gavi's POV
When I wake up, the first thing I see is the back of Mónica's head. And that makes me smile for the first time today. I still can't believe she's really here.
I hug her a little bit tighter and start to kiss her shoulder, which makes her wake up. When I see her sleepy face, my smile only gets bigger.
"Morning. What time is it?"
I even find her yawn cute. I need to get a grip.
"7.30. I have to train in a couple of hours but you can stay in bed longer if you want to".
"No. It's ok. We can have breakfast together".
"I'd love that".
I get out of bed and stretch. And then I notice Mónica staring at me.
"Please don't ask me if I see something I like. You know I do".
I chuckle and move to go to the bathroom. "Do you want to shower before you leave? Or get changed?"
"I wouldn't say no to a quick shower or to more clothes to steal. Just a normal t-shirt is fine. I can wear my own shorts".
"I have the perfect one for you".
When I get back to the room, she stares at the t-shirt I'm offering her.
"I think you need to explain why this is perfect for me".
"Remember the day we met?"
"Of course".
"You were wearing a purple blouse", I say, pointing at the purple shirt I gave her. "You've never worn that colour again and it reminds me of that day. I played it cool then but I couldn't believe how much more beautiful you were in person. So when I see this colour, I think of you".
She stares at me, biting her lip.
"Too corny?"
She smiles and shakes her head before hugging me. "Never too corny. I'm just getting used to this being real".

Mónica gets back to the kitchen when I'm almost done making the juice she likes to have in the mornings.
"You remembered the ingredients?"
"Want to know a secret?", she nods. "I now have this every morning too. It's really good".
"I'll add food influencer to my Instagram bio. Manu might even get me a deal to write a book about juices".
I'm laughing at her comment when the doorbell rings. I can see Mónica's expression getting serious. It disappoints me that she still thinks I might be lying but I get it.
But then I hear the door being opened and it's my time to panic.
"Shit!"
I drop the spoon and scare Mónica.
"What is it? Who has the keys to your house?"
"My mum!"
Mónica's POV
Shit indeed. I've never met Pablo's family and this is going to be his mum's first impression. Great.
"Pablo? Are you in the kitchen?"
"Yes!"
He looks terrified. That's not helping my nerves settle.
"Good morning, honey. How are you...who's this?"
"Mum, this is Mónica".
I see her staring at me and realizing who I am. She tries to smile but I notice it's not a real smile.
