Chapter 31

“Are you alright? Fang. Where does it hurt?" Proud asked as he drove home. Although he had already asked his best friend once but he was still worried about him.

"I'm fine," Fang replied quietly while thinking of Ken because he saw that Ken had got hurt during the fight. Although the wound didn't look that serious, Fang was worried if Ken was traumatized from the inside or not. He also didn't know how to deal with his own feeling of deep concern for him.

"There's been nothing good ever since those two came," Proud grumbled in frustration. Fang remained silent and did not comment because he was lost in his own thoughts about Ken. Proud glanced at his friend slightly before taking a deep breath because he too could guess what Fang was thinking.

"You," Proud called to his friend in a faint voice.

“What?” replied Fang.

"You're worried about Ken, aren't you?" Prow asked as he thought. Fang pursed his lips slightly and swallowed a little saliva down his throat.

"I don't know, Proud. I don't know what I should do now. Yes, I care about him, but I'm angry at him for what he did to me. I don't want to forgive him and I don't want to see his face, but l L...” Fang stopped in the middle, his voice trembling because of pain and confusion in his heart.

"You can't cut him out of your mind, right?" Proud asked further. Fang was silent for a bit because he doesn't know how to answer his friend's questions.

“You still love him. Admit it, Fang," Proud said in a calm voice Because he knows his friend's heart well. Fang slowly closed his eyes as tears slowly rolled down his cheeks as the realisation hit him. In fact, he knew the truth all along but didn't want to admit it to himself. He never imagined that Love could make him this weak and vulnerable. In the past, Fang tricked others into falling in love and left them every time. Now he felt like he was hit by his own Karma. And now he has to suffer pain because of love.

“But it's not possible. He can never be mine because he already has his family,” Fang said in a pained voice. Proud couldn't argue with it so he fell silent. The two remained silent until they reached their house. They split up to shower and rest in their own bedrooms.

(Next morning)

Fang woke up in a dull mood. Last night, he stayed up late thinking about Ken as a result he woke up late today. But he still woke up earlier than Proud. Fang did not want to wake up his friend therefore came out to breathe in the cool air as the weather was a little cold and water the plants for a while. But he had to freeze when he saw Ken standing in front of his fence gate. Ken smiled at him with a pale face. But Fang didn't pay any attention to him and focused on watering the plants. Ken himself just stood and stared at Fang without saying anything. Fang sneaked a glance but didn't see the car that Ken and Cha used to drive in the past few days because Ken was standing alone. Fang also saw that Ken was wearing a long sleeve shirt that wasn't too thick to keep him warm but it covered Ken's hand causing him to not know where else Ken got wounded.

"Knock knock," Ken called him causing Fang who looked a little lost in his thoughts to turn around and look at him. Ken gave him a soft smile back.

(It's cold but you still don't want to wear a sweater again ) Fang could only think in his heart. Ken's voice sounded periodically just calling his name but Fang didn't think to ask or say anything. After finishing watering the plants, Fang walked back into the house. Ken remained standing in the same place.

“is Brother Ken still standing in front of our house?” Proud asked as Fang walked into the house. Fang nodded before entering the kitchen. Proud stood and peeked at Ken through the window. Then followed Fang into the kitchen as well.
