You and Benny had been dating for some time in secret, but after Benny told Scotty, who accidentally told all the rest of the boys, the secret was no more!

"I can't believe you kissed Benny," Ham exclaimed. "If it were me, I'd rather stick razors in my mouth!"
"Luckily, it isn't you that has to kiss him, Ham," you laughed.
"Yeah, yeah, he is lucky," Yeah-Yeah chuckled through a mouthful of gum. "I'd run for my life if Benny tried to kiss me. Poor (Y/N)."
"What are you laughing at Yeah-Yeah?" Benny snapped. "Besides, you run like a duck. No girl wants to kiss a bird."
This comment sparked massive arguing, as all of the sandlot began to hurl insults and comments at each other: many of the boys in jealousy, as they liked you too, and many in pure shock that you and Benny were dating.
Amidst all this, Scotty turned to you with a smile and whispered, "Well, I'm happy for you."
"Thanks, Smalls," you answered, laughing. "It's nice to have someone who is."
