A/N: hey guys! I know seeing this at the beginning is kind of weird but please read the authors note as well at the end of this chapter! I've got some exciting news! Thank you and enjoy the final chapter!

My back straightened as Robin closed the distance between us. His hands cradled the back of my head, his fingers tangling with my hair. Robin looked at me hesitantly before leaning down and capturing my lips with his.

My heart rate picked up as my mind struggled to make sense of things. A smile played on my lips as I happily kissed robin back. My hands rested on his arms, almost trying to pull him closer.

He was right. I was the only person standing in the way of my happiness. Sure, I was scared of getting hurt again. Of being in yet another bad situation. But I had to let go. I could t let all of my fears get in the way of me living life.

My hands slid up Robin's arms before wrapping my arms around his neck. I slowly stand up, pulling away slightly to nuzzle myself between Robin's shoulder and neck.

"You're right." I whisper, taking slow breaths. "You're so right. I'm... I'm sorry." My voice was soft. "I need to let go."

Robin holds me close to him and sighs. "No, milady, not let go. Just gain control." We rocked gently for a few moments before robin spoke up again. "I think they've arrived." His breath hit my ear as I slowly pulled away. I take his hand in mine and turn towards the entryway to the secluded room.

Sure enough, Ava and Mary were sitting at our table. I smiled as I watched my little girl talk happily to her mother. Robin's hand gently guided me towards the table, staying on my lower back. His gesture brought yet another smile to my face.

Mary looked up first, grinning and waving us over. I walked up and scooped her up from the chair she was sitting in. "How was your day?" I ask as I kiss both of her cheeks.

"Good. Mama and I colored!" She exclaims happily as she waves to Robin over my shoulder. He smiles before pulling my chair out from the table.

I mutter a thank you, setting Mary down before sitting down myself. Robin follows my lead and gently grabs my hand from under the table. I immediately hold his hand firmly as he runs his thumb over the back of my hand.

We started lunch and for the first time, I wasn't worried about who was getting hurt or what might happen. For the first time, I was truly happy. And I would do anything to make it stay like this.
