**Catherine's POV**I woke up at 5 a.m., my nerves already on edge.
Today is the interview with AR Company, and it's making me anxious. This is a huge opportunity, and I can't afford to mess it up.
Since yesterday, I've been cramming everything I could find about AR-its history, its growth, everything. I keep repeating facts and figures in my head as I go about my morning routine.
"God, why can't I remember anything?" I mutter, pacing back and forth in the living room. I've made short notes and stuck them all over the walls, hoping they'd somehow stick in my memory.
The clock shows 7 a.m.
"Oh, it's time!" I exclaim, rushing to take a shower. The water is freezing, but I keep reciting the company's background, trying to ignore the chill.
After the shower, I wrap myself in a bathrobe and open my closet.
"Which one should I wear?" I ask myself. "White is too plain, and black... that might be bad luck." I finally settle on a navy blue outfit with a silver neckline.
I go through my certificates one last time, praying silently.
"God, you know I need this job."
My phone rings, and it's Mom. I pick up immediately.
"Mom," I say, trying to sound calm.
"Cat, today's your interview, right?" she asks. I've already told her about the offer, and she was ecstatic.
"Yes, Mom," I reply.
"Did you prepare well?" she asks, just like she used to before my exams.
"I think so," I answer, my voice lacking confidence.
"You think? It should be a yes or no, Cat," she continues, her voice full of concern.
"Mom, it was so sudden. I'm trying," I say, feeling the weight of it all.
"Don't worry, my girl. You will get this," she assures me.
"Are you sure?" I ask, needing her reassurance more than ever.
"Of course. I believe in you," she says, her words giving me a little boost of confidence.
"Yes, Mom," I respond.
"All the best, my girl," she says before hanging up. Her call helps calm my nerves a bit.
It's never a bad idea to be early for an interview, so I grab my bag and keys, then head out the door. On the way, I receive a flood of good luck messages from Serena, Wad, and Mom.
I drive to the AR Company building, which seems to reach the sky. My neck aches just from looking up at it.
I park my car and head to the reception. They direct me to a waiting area, and I walk there as confidently as I can manage.
Sitting outside the office, I feel my legs shaking. I've been sweating since I entered the building.
This is a huge opportunity, and AR Company is one of the top firms globally. My palms are clammy, and I keep wiping them every few seconds.
"Catherine, you can go in now," a middle-aged woman calls out to me.
I send up a quick prayer before heading into the room with my files. My hands are trembling as I open the door.
Please don't trip, I beg silently. That would be mortifying.
Three people are seated inside-a woman in her early forties and two men, all of whom look very experienced. The woman and the man on her left ask me questions while the other man reviews my resume. He glances at me occasionally, listening to my answers.
