I was sitting in the cafeteria with Susan and Serena.

"Do you remember what happened last night?" Susan asked me. I had no clue. I even asked Dominic, but he didn’t give me any answers.

"No," I replied.

Susan then directed the question to Serena.

"No," Serena answered as well.

"What about you?" I asked Susan.

"I remember," she said confidently. "I have a high tolerance for alcohol."

"Then what happened?" Serena asked eagerly.

"The lawyer took you home, and the boss took you home," she said, pointing to both of us.

"So I got home thanks to Wad? That’s amazing!" Serena clapped her hands in delight. I, however, was not so thrilled.

"So, Dominic took me home?" I asked, seeking confirmation.

"Yes," Susan said.

"Did you two...?" Serena asked, raising her eyebrows suggestively.

"I don't know," I admitted.

"I think the guy’s not a pervert. He wouldn’t take advantage of a drunken woman," she said. I hoped she was right.

"What about you?" Serena asked Susan.

"I had a passionate night with someone," Susan said with a smirk.

"You mean Henry?" I asked.

"Whatever," she replied dismissively.

We parted ways after that—Susan to her office, Serena to hers, and I to mine.

When I got to the office, everyone was busy with their tasks as usual. I took my seat, but before I could settle in, Sara approached me.

"The boss told you to meet him," she said.

I walked to his office and knocked on the door.

"May I come in?" I asked, waiting for his permission.

"Yes," he replied.

"You know you’re late today," he said. I glanced at my watch—I was only ten minutes late.

"Sorry, boss," I said.

"You’ll have to face a punishment for that," he said, his eyes locking on mine. Punishment?

"What is it?" I asked, feeling a bit nervous.

"Come closer," he instructed.

I started to approach him, but we were interrupted by a sudden noise. The door opened, and a woman walked in without knocking.

"Hi," the woman said, glancing at both of us.

"Hey, don’t you have any manners?" I snapped at her.

"What manners?" she asked, clearly uninterested.

"The manners to knock on the door," I replied firmly.

"Why should I knock on this door?" she retorted, then ran into Dominic’s arms. He caught her just in time.

"How did you get here?" he asked her.

"It wasn’t hard for me. I thought you’d be at the entrance to greet me," she said. They were talking so intimately that I felt like a third wheel, so I quietly slipped out of the room.

"Did you see a woman enter the boss’s office?" Sebastian asked me as I returned to my desk.

"Yes," I replied.
