Petra pov: I returned to my room for some rest, lied down on my bed, and just began to think about the past. All of a sudden, I heard a knock on my room door and glanced at it, not saying a word.
"Please back out of this fight tomorrow; this is your first and only warning." Reimu said I heard the girl slowly walk away, and I frowned and rolled over in indifference to her.
After all, she chose this path for herself as my enemy, and she bullies me even now. She chose Vox over me. How insignificant was I to her?
Flashback...
Every day I would go to my best friend's grave site. She was drowned to death by someone. I never found out her killer, yet I never stopped searching. The only thing I had to really go by was a blonde nun. My friend's entire village ran her out of town since they were afraid of her.
I visited a small shack near the graveyard, which, despite being abandoned, was well kept and polished.
"Petra, have you met anyone cute that you have a crush on?" Reimu asked me as soon as I entered through the door.
This was the usual question. I don't really understand why she asks it, but the answer is always the same: "No." I replied swiftly, and she laughed a tiny bit.
"I know, I just always feel like asking you," she said before poking my nose.
I looked through some of the documents from churches I gathered through reconnaissance, and the trail is still dry. There's nothing to see about blonde nuns. It's honestly suspicious how little data there is on the girl that murdered her.
"We may need to give up on the search, unfortunately." Reimu stated she seemed a bit upset about it.
"Why would we stop?" I questioned, and she just shrugged while thinking of a real reply.
"We aren't strong enough to battle anyone like that, and if you got hurt, I don't know what I'd do!" Reimu told me
I glared at my friend, making her clearly know I wasn't happy. "You died!" I reminded her just in case she forgot, and that's why she wants revenge.
"I can't get my life back after I kill whoever killed me, so what is the point?" The ghost girl sighed.
"You get to move on to the next life!" I told her She frowned in response, not seeming to like that.
"You won't be there!" She sadly whimpered like a puppy as she crawled up next to me, getting oddly close to me.
"Reimu, do I have to be with you always?" I questioned only to have the ghost nod to my words, "sounds kind of clingy." I responded only to be met by silence.
The girl seemed as if she was going to erupt at any moment. "I'm not clingy!" She cried out before hugging me.
"Not clingy, huh?" I sighed as I pushed her away.
"Shut the fuck up, bitch. I know you liked that hug!" Reimu shouted
I giggled a little bit. "I won't deny that," I stated to her.
All of a sudden, Reimu's expression changed to a frown. "Why do you come by daily?" She asked me I tilted my head to the side, not understanding the question.
"What do you mean?" I asked
"You stand by me even though my revenge will equate to your suffering. I just want to know why you always show up here every day and why you are so nice to me and want to help me." She stated
"Do I need a reason to help a friend?" I asked, and she jolted upwards in shock.
"I know that, but I'm just saying maybe you shouldn't follow me on this revenge path!" Reimu shouted with frantic panic.
