It's A Start

Petra pov: The battle with Vox and his "friends" has subsided with a complete victory; no major injuries were inflicted on our side after the fight. Elira showed up and captured people involved that weren't defeated. Luca, Sonny, Uki, Ike, were apprehended and questioned. The entire male dormitory was investigated except for Doppio Dropscyth and Alban Knox since Alban helped us and the latter was asleep. Our senpai were also exempt from the punishment

Enna was rushed to the infirmary, where she was stabilized; however, she should have trouble moving for a while

Reimu and I were escorted to another area since the courtyard was disclosed for now.

"Petra..." Reimu softly spoke.

I turned to the pale girl, smiling softly at her. "Thank you for the hoodie," I told her.

Her face lit up. "So you can forgive me!"

"No..."

She looked at me with a clear, distraught "Petra. I'm sorry for bullying you—Vox promised that he wouldn't kill you if I went along with him. I didn't mean for things to get this bad. I didn't want to hurt you this much!" She told me

"Reimu, the reasoning doesn't matter; you still bullied me physically and verbally; you threw years of friendship down the drain just to gain power; and look where you are now; you haven't changed, not even a little bit."

"Petra I'm sorry. Can we still be friends?" She asked me

I looked back at the girl and took a deep breath. I have to be as honest as possible. "Sorry, Reimu, but we can't go back to how we were. Thank you for the hoodie, though it's just a start. We will see how things go from here."

Tears streamed down her face at a rapid pace. I always hated to see her cry.

"Petraaaaaaa!" She wailed out in agony.

I turned my back to her and began to walk away, trying to drone her cries out. If I look back, I will show weakness. I can't go back; the past has to be in the past. I got to the corner and saw Selen leaning on the wall.

"Good for you, Petra," she said to me.

I know what she meant, but still, it's tough.

"I feel awful for her." I replied

"It's as you say, you can't go back to how things were before, but you can rebuild your bond and fix it. You said this is a start." Selen pointed out

"Yes, it is a start," I mumbled.

"Petra, don't let this get you down; you're finally free. Keep your chin up," Rosemi said.

Those two came to check up on me, and my smile returned. "Thanks, you two," I said.

Our moment was interrupted as a hand grabbed Selen roughly and turned her. "Selen, care to explain what happened?" Elira growled

"Justice," Selen answered.

"Well, we have to do something, Selen. We need to make sure they can't clone themselves anymore," Elira said.

"Wait—you're getting involved?" Selen questioned

"I have to..." Elira growled

I could tell there was tension between the two as the intercom chimed. Calling us all to the headmasters office.

"Selen, come on, let's go!" Elira yelled

On the way to the office, Elira took us to Fulgur's lab, and while we were watching, she blew it up, stopping them from ever cloning again.
