Rosemi pov: "What is more beautiful than me, a pretty pink rose?" I asked
Selen stared at me. "A lot of things..." She told me with disinterest in what I was saying
I really wanted to slap her for her reply, "One, why are you being rude on my birthday, and also, why didn't you wish me a happy birthday yet?" I asked
"Why should I wish you a happy birthday, Rosemi-sama?" Selen said to me
Petra nudged Selen and cleared her throat. "Too much respect," she mentioned.
"Pet-Petra!?"
The penguin laughed. "Sorry, you are always my beautiful rose, even if my ice makes you wilt and die." She said
"Noooo! I don't want to wilt!" I whined
Selen laughed, "Why not? It'd make you prettier." She mentioned
"Selen..." The purple lunar sky dragon laughed some more, but then she turned around and grabbed a cake, placing it on the table in front of me.
"You see, happy birthday, Rosemi. Actually, I don't know what I would do if you weren't in my life. I really, really appreciate you," she said to me.
I could tell it took everything Selen had in her to say that to me. I laughed and patted her head. "There there," I said to her.
"Don't-stop pampering me!" She shouted
"But aren't we close like that?" I asked
"You two do seem pretty close. I actually want to know how you two met," Petra said.
"After we have the birthday girl blow out her candles, we finish this birthday because it is embarrassing," Selen told her.
The lunar sky dragon lit the candles, and I backed up. "Fire hot," I told her.
"Yeah, dumbass," she giggled to herself.
"Selen!" I shouted since I couldn't believe she called me a dumbass.
"We won't sing happy birthday since it is embarrassing, but we do want you to make a wish and blow out your candles. Please make it a good wish because it may come true." Petra told us:
"My birthday wish?" I questioned
I don't know what I want to wish for; to be completely honest, if I knew what I wanted, I probably would have it. However, I'm not the type of woman that will ask for things. I am not a needy girl.
"Rosemi-sama, are you alright?" Selen asked
"Yeah-I'm just thinking."
Petra took a deep breath and leaned in as if she were going to blow the candles out, but I beat her to it. I am not going to let her blow my candles out.
"What did you wish for?" Selen asked me
"That's a secret," I told her.
Selen noticed the redness of my face and pressed her head to my forehead. "Do you want me to kiss you?" She asked
"I-What!?" I asked
"Do you want me to kiss you?" She repeated
"I-Selen what!?" I asked. I stood up and backed up, only for the dragon to walk up to me and pin me to the wall. I gulped at the kabedon.
"You do want her to kiss you?" Petra wondered
"I-"
I closed my eyes, anticipating the kiss, but it never came.
"Rosemi, wake the fuck up!" Selen said loudly:
I raised my head and blinked a few times. "Whe-Where am I?" I asked
"At your birthday party, you randomly fell asleep," Petra told me.
"Oh..."
"You seemed to be having a good dream, though; what was it about?" Selen asked
"What-no, I never had a good dream in my life, Selen!" I shouted
"Why is your face red, Rosemi?" Pomu asked me
"Ah-Well, you see, Pomu, in my dream, something embarrassing happened regarding Selen!" I told her
"Oh, is that so?" Selen said softly, her voice purposefully seductive.
"Uh, Petra, is it getting hot in here?" I asked
"No, the AC is on," she stated.
She didn't get my purpose in saying to try to get everything off of this. I don't want to continue because Selen has me figured out and she is teasing me right now on purpose.
"Rosemi, don't worry, I'll cool you off." Selen whispered to me as she pinned me to the wall.
"Selen!?" Pomu shouted
"Don't worry, Rosemi. I'll be gentle." Selen softly spoke to me.
"Eeeeek!" I managed to break out and run away from her. The dragon girl laughed, much to the dismay of her sister.
"Why do you like this, Selen?" Elira asked
Selen tilted her head to the side. "Like what?" She asked
"Like, nevermind," Elira mumbled.
"Rosemi, why are you so embarrassed by Selen?" Petra asked
"That's because..." I can't say now because I feel like that isn't going to end well for me right now.
"You seem pretty fond of Selen, like very fond," Finana told me.
"What! No! I am not fond of Selen!"
Selen laughed louder than before. "How about we stop teasing the birthday girl?" She walked up and flicked my head.
"Ouch..." I winced.
"Oh, sorry, Rosemi, but I actually have a good remedy for you." Selen mentioned
"Wait-what type of remedy?" I asked
Elira hummed with interest: "I'm actually interested in what remedy Selen could have in store since she has no medical knowledge; honestly, you'd be better off not letting her do anything to that forehead mark."
Selen looked at Pomu and then leaned down, pecking my injury with a chaste kiss. "Selen..." My face grew bright red, and I felt weak. Everything began to go numb. "What?" I mumbled as butterflies flew into my stomach, and I fell over all of a sudden.
"Selen, what the fuck!?" Pomu shouted
Selen laughed some more "She's the birthday girl and one of my best friends. I think she deserves this."
"Yeah, I think you broke her," Petra said.
"I think she is being melodramatic since we've done more than that," Selen giggled.
"Selen kissed me. Selen kissed me. Selen kissed me. Selen kissed me." I kept repeating those words out of shock that she had done it.
I wish I was dreaming, but I would have woken up by now-actually, I'm glad I'm not dreaming. Best birthday present ever, to be honest...
Although what comes next won't be so fun, a kiss is a kiss.
