Pomu pov: "Ren Zotto!" I yelled as I flew down from the sky. He was disoriented about where he was, which was good. We are on the edge of the forest, connecting the line between on- and off-campus.
I yanked out my whip and swung it at him, wrapping it around his neck and pulling him in before spinning and kicking him. His face was indented by the kick, and he spun around while the whip unraveled, but as he stopped, he glared at me.
"That kick was soft," he declared with confidence.
I put my whip in my mouth, clenching my teeth so I wouldn't lose it, and I flew in quickly, hitting Ren with a barrage of punches. Each one did push his head back and make marks, but other than that, he tanked them.
He smirked at me with a condescending look and said, "I'll show you what real punches are!" He said
His fist slammed into me, but much to his shock, I didn't even react to the punch, and I kicked him away. He tilted his head with perplexity.
"That was a real punch." I questioned
He sighed as he came to a realization: "You're Pomu-senpai. I wanted to fight the penguin girl we bullied."
"Vox was the only one guaranteed to fight Petra; the rest were all random. We separated you, not knowing who was getting who!" I said
"Where is Fulgur? He should have been here by now!" Ren angrily said
I smirked earlier. I sensed Elira firing some spells; she definitely took care of Fulgur for us, even if it wasn't voluntary. This guy shouldn't be a problem for me, but I want to be a little selfish, "Selen I'm sorry... I want to break the stupid horns on this bastard's head."
"Pay attention, fairy!" He yelled at me. He appeared in front of me and punched me, sending me hurdling into a tree. I spread my wings to stop myself.
Ren ran at me, trying to punch me. I blocked the first one, but the second punch hit me directly in the stomach, hard enough that blood ejected from my mouth.
"Come on, entertain me, Pomu Rainpuff!" He scoffed
I used plant magic to wrap tree roots around him. I'm not skilled in this field when it comes to attacks like Rosemi's, but I can at least hold him still for a moment.
What do I specialize in? I have wind magic, telekinesis, minor electrokinesis, and shape-shifting, but I need to get better with plant magic since that's what faries do.
"I'll do just that, and I'll defeat you!" I condescendingly stated
"Wait, so you two are trying to help that penguin bitch?" Ren asked
I sighed in response, "No, I'm not." I replied much to his confusion.
"Why the hell fight me then!?" He growled
I didn't say a word and flew forward, punching him in the stomach with a wind-amplified punch.
"Pomu win no matter what..." Selen echoed in my head. The roots exploded, and he went flying back, only catching himself by digging his fingers into the ground and ripping the skin off.
"Answer me, why do you fight?" He growled
"I hate when Selen tells me what to do; she's a dumbass, but I can't help but respect her." I told him
"You will regret fighting me!" Ren hissed
I thought about everything in my life I regret, and this isn't one of them. He was wrong. "I won't regret beating you," I mentioned.
"Wind Magic: Fairy's Breath," I whispered. I lifted my hand and blew on it, sending a ginormous gust of wind out. Ren got pushed into the air and grabbed onto a tree, trying not to be sent into the air more; however, the tree he was on went into the air. He slammed into a few more trees before the wind vanished, and he fell onto his neck landing on a rock.
