*Raven's P.O.V*

Thankfully, idiotic Jamie did bail me out of jail.

Good, otherwise I'd throw a bitchy fit and irritate everyone.

He offered to take me shopping for a dress however I declined. I honestly don't want to spend more time with him unless I have to. Unfortunately, tomorrow night, I HAVE to.

Plus, I have a feeling that he would try to pay for my dress. I don't want him to. I really don't like the idea of owing him. Or owing anyone else for that matter. It's very humiliating.

*The Next Morning*

Rays of sunlight shone through the windows of the boutique as I examined the dresses.

Luckily for me, this boutique was having a clearance sale. So, no need to worry about seeing dresses in the quadruple digits. It was also very small in size and the exterior of the shop was Victorian-themed. In addition, it was very early in the morning, so there weren't a lot of people in it. I'm pretty sure it'll get jam packed later throughout the day. I mean, what woman in their right mind, would want to miss out on a clearance sale on dresses? Like, fashion can look hot no matter the price tag.

"So," I began, as I admired a sparkling floor-length black dress, "how long is Sweetner planning to crash at your place?"

"I'm not too sure, to be honest." Elliot admitted. "And he isn't so bad!"

I raised my eyebrows. "Not so bad? The d*ckhead cheated on his wife! It's like, pants are a thing, you know?"

"True," Elliot agreed. "But surprisingly, he's been calm. You know, for someone with anger management issues."

"Well, he kinda has to be," I remarked. "I mean, he is staying at your place...so he's kinda indebted to you. He has to follow all the rules you set for him."

"He somewhat listens..." Elliot trailed off. I rolled my eyes.

Elliot picked out a short red strapless dress.

"What do you think about this one?" He asked. He's probably changing the subject. Conflict avoiding prick. But a hot one.

And I admit that the dress was eye-catching.

I grabbed it to examine it further.

I frowned.

"What's wrong?" Elliot asked.

"This dress has a rip on it, at the bottom."

"Why not just sew it?" He asked, all too innocently.

"Oh gee, why don't I use my non-existent sewing skills to mend this dress?" I muttered, sarcastically.

"Oops, sorry, Raven. I thought you knew how to sew..."

"Why? Because I'm a girl?"

"No!" Elliot blurted out.

He began blushing.

"Please just ignore anything stupid that comes out of my mouth."

"Ugh, whatever." I hissed, throwing my hands in the air, in a dismissive manner. Then I continued to browse through the dresses.

After around half an hour, I finally settled on a short dark purple dress, with long sleeves.

I held it up for Elliot to see.
