Ohmygosh, ohmygosh, ohmygosh---Panic flooded through my veins.
Take a deep breath, Raven.
Stop panicking!
But how could I stop when my eyes were horrifyingly glued to the bloodred horns sticking right through my steering wheel? This maniac ruined my windshield and my wheel. I swear if he wasn't scary and strange looking, I'd make him pay for damaging my hot vehicle.
Suddenly, the red fleshy creep was dragged out of my car. A few pieces of glass grazed my skin. Damn, could this day get any worse?
I tilted my head up and someone standing outside caught my eye. Despite the rain blurring most of my vision, I could roughly make out the outline of the figure. She was curvy, appeared to wear stilettos, and posed into a fighting stance as if she were going to take on an army but really, was in a one on one battle with some lunatic.
The demonic figure was now laying on the hood of my car, groaning. It sounded like ten men groaning. Yikes.
Oh man, how I wish this were a movie and I'd be sitting, in a comfortable position, lazy, eating mountains of popcorn. But sadly, this was reality.
My heart gave a quick start as the unholy thing jumped to his feet and threw a punch at the woman, who dodged. Though, out of the corner of my eye, I swear I saw her body shiver a little-in fear, perhaps?
As mesmerized as I was by the crazy scene taking place right in front of me, I knew I should take this opportunity while the two face off, to bolt out of here, and run like a robber escaping the police, in a random direction, hopefully landing in the arms of safety. Sitting frozen here on my car seat was NOT an option.
Seriously, butt move out---
However, I just couldn't bring myself to take off. Instead, I stayed in my seat as if someone had glued my butt to the surface as a prank. I hope the woman wins---
My eyes widened as I witnessed the demon's fist connect with the curvy woman's jaw. She flew backwards, her arms flailing in the air.
THUD.
Quicky getting to her feet, she made a beeline towards where I was sitting.
F*ck, what could she possibly want?
If she wants me to take her out of here, there's no way I can drive in this condition, especially with the power out...
She knocked on my door, both frantically and violently. Great, I have a broken windshield and a broken steering wheel. I can't afford any more damage to my baby.
Terrified she would rip my car door apart, I opened it halfway.
This is when I got a good look at her. Her body was curvy yet she had extremely masculine features. Her arms were super toned, and her biceps bulged every time she breathed. She also had a hint of a red mark smeared across her right eye and an unfamiliar symbol was engraved into her forehead. Her outfit was something you'd find lying around in a sweaty gym change room.
"It's cursed, I thought I could handle the power but it's cursed. I'm in too much pain," she whispered this fearfully as her eyes glazed over. "Please use it to fight off the demon. The ring will give you enhanced abilities, mortal."
Wait, what the hell is this muscly, prickly, foolish lame-o going on about?
What does she mean by "it's cursed"?
Also, what the shit does she mean by power?
Fudge, so many questions!
In a hurry, she shoved something off her finger and threw it at the carpet of my car.
HUH?!
My senses were on full alert and I immediately went hostile over this action, baring my teeth at her.
"B*tch, if that's a bomb, I'm taking you down with me," I threatened, hurriedly unfastening my seatbelt.
The Curvy Woman didn't respond. She took off, although at a slower pace than when she made a dash for my now ruined car.
I wish my eyes didn't wander up at that moment as what I saw next sent chills down my spine and goosebumps formed on my arms.
The demon was within her personal space in a second, and with lightening speed, he went for her neck.
CRUNCH!
Even from where I was, through the intense splashing of rain, I could hear the sickening sound. I winced. I was unable to avert my attention from the deadly event that just occured.
When I heard her scream of agony, I closed my eyes.
After a few seconds, the scream was no more.
The eerie silence lasted for some time as I breathed a sigh of relief but then dread filled me when I realized the demon was still out there, lurking, waiting to pounce, pin me down and slash at my throat brutally, draining my beautiful, precious life from me.
Gosh, darn it, dang it, UGH!!!
Slowly, I turned my head in his direction. His ember eyes met my violet ones, staring right into them. He began to walk towards me, taking baby steps. The way he walked reminded me so much of someone stalking their prey and getting ready for the kill.
Seeing him head towards my direction caused nervousness to fill every inch of my body.
Calm down, Raven.
He's going to kill me, I thought, not if I kill that abnormal doofus first, though.
Glancing down at the object the woman dropped, I noticed it was a small golden ring with a purple stone in the middle. Within the stone, there were weird markings. Thank goodness it wasn't a bomb.
Taking a deep breath, I slipped it onto my finger, confidently. It felt warm.
The demon froze at what I did, taken aback by my action, but afterwards he laughed.
Oh god, his laugh honestly does sound like a group of men chuckling as opposed to one a*shole.
I silently prayed that I would survive tonight so that I could pass on my sexy genes and party all the way into my 80's.
I swung the door open all the way and got out at a rapid speed.
OK, either I fight this very funny looking creature or I run like a coward, for the hills.
Hmm...
I've made my choice.
I'm going to fight him.
And kick his ass back to hell, where he belongs.
