Hi, y'all, what's up?

I thought I'd share my first ever draft of chapter 1 that I wrote for Demon Hunter before I made significant changes to it, like the age of the MC and her last name! So, here you go! (I might borrow some material from here for any future stories that I make haha!) Or even for this one ^^

OLD Description:

Raven Scar is a regular teen living a pretty chill life but soon she finds herself in a world of supernaturals and then she ends up slaying monsters for a living. Her ruthless reputation spreads and there's a price on her head. What happens when Raven goes to a town full of demons and the tables turn? Her job just got more complicated...

Chapter 1- When You Eat A Blueberry, Literally

I looked out the window at the gray clouds passing by my house.

Ugh, we rarely get any sunshine here in Crow City. It's a Gothic looking city with large citadels, vast forests, and underground sewer systems that house the largest parties where all the elite go. Crow City is a place in Creep Stone that gets its reputation for being the scariest city in our state. I can understand why, with there being a lot of cold blooded murders and axes being the weapon of choice for most of these bastards. Probably the worst case we've seen and continue to see in Crow City is the attack of the Vulture. That's what the tabloids nicknamed him or her. This asshole carries a surgical knife that they take to carve out shapes in the victims' bodies and then take out their heart leaving trails of blood everywhere. Although they do their work smoothly since they haven't been caught yet and they're good at covering up their trail. Crow City has gotten police from other cities involved so this moron is caught. A part of me is puzzled though; surely if this dickhead is human, they'd be caught already? But they're still roaming free. Free and safe from going behind the cold bars of Crow City's rusty jails. Rusty or not, boy do they hold criminals well. We've only had one jackass escape and that was a lunatic named Jerry. Jerry was caught though and since he refused to go back to prison, they shot him to death. It received a lot of coverage with mayor Victor covering it frequently.

Hmm, I thought to myself. I see shapes in the gray clouds. Why, they look like they're at each other's throats and want the other one to die. Great, even in sky, I see death. But hey, at least I get me time when looking at the sky.

Seriously, I like this; it gives me tons of peace to hang out alone and just sight see out of my window. My personal space to view. Anyways, it's nearing night and not another house in sight except the Blueberry's. This is what I love about Crow City. Houses are so spread out, you can blast your volume to top notch and no one will complain.

BOOM!

I snapped out of my thoughts to look across to the Blueberry's.

"Looks like they're having a fireworks show for some special occasion." I said to myself.

Sure enough sparks were flying in the air and many of them were going up. Probably a birthday for one of them or some other special day since blasting fireworks is absolutely unnecessary unless you have a legitimate reason behind it.

"Raven!" I heard my step mom Angie call my name. "Raven Veronica Scar, young lady, come down this minute!"

Welp, she said my full name.

"Coming Angelica!" I shouted back, as I went out of my purple colored bedroom down our giant old mahogany steps, and towards to the office room where Angie was chewing on a cupcake that had cobweb candies on it. She was sitting in her pink chair which had-surprise-OK, not a surprise-it had pink glitter all over. The whole room was pink.
