Gruff's P.O.V
Speed. Something we all want tons of. Let me tell you first hand that if you have a monster who wants to split you in half for a ring chasing you, you will run five times faster than you normally run. Doesn't matter if you're a couch potato, on any fateful day when you're taking off from someone or something creepy, your speed might equal a cheetah...OK, I'm exaggerating...But definitely, it will be high. Now that I think about it, in gym class, they should have teachers dress up in all black with scary nightmare inducing masks that can give even the bravest soul the shivers, and they should equip chainsaws to chase students around the track. The pupils holding back their tears will do a much better job and their fitness marks will be high. Of course, there's always the chance a kid's parents will sue for emotional distress...
UGH, Gruff, come on, run faster, damn you, run faster with your tiny legs.
I could hear her sweet, melodious, vicious voice. "Where are you, you hideous cowardly dumb frozen donkey? If it's a game you want, it's a game you'll get. I'm ready to play." She chuckled to herself. She's imagining me in pain and dying slowly, I just know she is.
As I ran, I came across a church. Oh god, I can hide in here 'till this b*tch gives up. Luckily, demons can't enter these places...
I veered right towards it, when Dahlia appeared right in front of me. "I could do this all day, bonehead."
"Well, I can't," I breathed, fearfully. "I'm not immortal like you."
"You're right, you're not," she spat at me, nastily. "That makes your mortal body so much easier to wound."
...
It's too late. My death is here. And no one can save me.
I'm a dude in distress.

Raven's P.O.V
I managed to catch up to both of them. I arrived at the right moment as Dahlia was about to decapitate the lazy brute. I jumped in front of him. I might not have strength from the ring but I have a cross with me.
"Stay back, you unholy, filthy creature, go back to hell and pick on someone your own strength, leave monsieur baby alone" I said, confident. She can pick on other demons, not helpless, powerless little human beings.
"Wait, what, Raven?"
I could hear disbelief in Gruff's voice. He did not appreciate how I went about in my defense. Whatever.
Dahlia took out a knife carved with many symbols and started whispering to it like it was her child. Maybe it was.
"We're going to carve Raven, the weak ass birdie, to little itty bitty pieces so she can never bother us again,"
"Listen lady, you're obviously upset about not ruling the world so you're acting like a deranged lunatic," I said, angrily. "Just stop it and leave this world alone!"
Dahlia only laughed.
"You know, I just can't make up my mind on what to do with your body once the soul leaves. I guess...I guess, whatever's left of your dead body could be gifted to all my lovers. Human flesh carved in the shape of hearts," she smiled very wide and flashed her dazzling white teeth. "Hmm...or I could find a different purpose for it. I tell you, human flesh is the best seller in the demon world. We're crazy for it. We adore stepping on the dead, rotten corpses, we enjoy laughing at their mutilated bodies---"
