"Hello everyone! My name is Eki Ume and I am 17 years old. Please treat me well!" She sounded so happy and motivated, people seemed to like that along her cute face. I just hope she wont become friends with Nori, we don't need another tyrant.
There was an empty seat next to me and she was told to sit there, meaning I had another person sitting next to me. She was very pretty and her hair looked so healthy and shiny as well, especially in the sun. She was definitely going to become a popular girl at our school as well.
"Hey, what's your name?" I noticed her trying to talk to me and I turned my head to look at her.
"Uh..Inada Asuka." I said quietly and she looked at me in awe.
"You're really pretty Inada-San!" She said with a genuine smile on her face and I blushed a bit. No one except close friends or family ever compliments me and hearing it come from a gorgeus girl like her was a bit flattering.
"Hey! We're Tanaka Shiroi and Mioda Ichika. Ichika here actually transfered to our school as well 2 weeks ago so you're both the new students." Shiroi tapped Ume's shoulder to make her turn around and introduced herself and Ichika to her.
"Really? Could you guys show me around still? This school looks really pretty from outside!" The two girls nodded and Ume turned around to face our teacher. I then realized something, Mr. Eki and Ume Eki? They have the same last name.
"Eki-San? I realized you and Mr. Eki have the same last name, are you guys..related?" I asked still in a very quiet tone and she nodded proudly.
"He's my uncle!" Oh, that makes sense since they dont look alike so it was a bit confusing at first.
"Okay girls, chit chat later let's start the lesson." We got interupted by Mr. Eki and immediately swung our heads to look at him.
"Woah, this school IS pretty inside just like how you guys said! Thanks for showing me around again, you guys are really nice." We reached our final destination of our tour and Ume was impressed by everything and how clean and nice it looked compared to her school back in Mulhan (the Korea in this world). It didn't take a while until we were approached by Nori and her gang. She seemed pissed at Ume becoming popular so fast but she tried hiding it by befriending her, which LUCKILY did not work. We had already told her about Nori and her being a bully and Ume made it clear that she hates those types of people, having lost a friend due to bullying back in her old school. It was a sad story and it made me think again. I tried taking my mind off that whole topic by trying to admire the nature around us and not focus too much on what was being said. I may have come across a bit rude for not listening but it was a topic I couldn't bear listening to any longer.
The next lesson was soon but we were quite far away from our classroom so we had to sprint a bit in the last minutes to not be late. Our math teacher doesn't like late students and if the new student is late, that will be a bad first impression..
--after school--
Our cleaning duties finally ended and it seemed to have been a good first day for Ume with many people wanting to be friends with her. What I learned today was to not jump to immediate speculations and that I can trust people I haven't known for a while...well I atleast hope I can. Ume is a nice and sweet girl who cares about others and will help out as much as she can. Maybe I can be like her someday.
Shiroi's Pov:
"Hey uh Tanaka-Chan?" I turned around to see Ume walking behind me.
"Hi!"
"Do you have time right now?" She asked which surprised me a bit.
"Yeah, me and Asuka already finished our homework earlier so I do have time now, why do you ask?"
"Do you want to go eat ice cream with me? Mioda-San kept telling me about her favourite Ice cream place so I figured I'd try it!"
"I know which place she means, we can definitely do that, is she also coming?" I asked and she shook her head.
"The others told me they didn't have time." Hm makes sense, Ichika has her job and Asuka told me her grandmother was visiting her today.
"Okay then, wanna go now?" I asked and she nodded.
"So how has your first day been so far? Do you like it here?" I asked her, trying to start up another conversation.
"Its been GREAT! Im so glad I was able to become friends with you guys, yall are so cool. And everyone else has also been so nice to me, except for Hayashi-San of course, she was really mean after I told her I didn't want to be friend." That was indeed true, Nori was being a real bitch again.
"Well Im glad you had a nice first day. We're here now by the way." I showed her the Ice Cream shop and she started taking out her purse. It was a really nice looking purse.
"I think I'll order the Mint Chocolate Chip Ice cream..what about you?"
"Mint Chocolate Chip? You like that as well?! Asuka and Ichika have been telling me how Im crazy for liking that but now Im not the only one anymore." She chuckled and so did I before we approached the Ice Cream Shop. The worker there was a young nice man and he looked around 18-19 years old. He has asked us if we went to the Toka International High School and we nodded. It was pretty obvious by our School Uniform. He then proceeded to tell us about his expierence there when he went there and told us some funny stories.
After that we took a walk in the bright sun as our Ice Cream melted. We had to eat quick or else it would become liquid. We had a few fun chats and had a lot of laughter during our walk up the hill towards our neighborhood. We realized we lived pretty near to eachother and before we went our different ways, we quickly hugged and said goodbye.
Ume is a really cool girl honestly and I can imagine her and the others becoming close friends.
