"Have you noticed? Hayashi apparently kicked one of her girls out of the group! It's so childish and yet funny seeing how the whole group acts with eachother. They constantly talk about eachothers back, especially about Hayashi." During lunch break, Ichika and I were eating together while Shiroi and Ume were getting themselves some snacks from the vending machine.

"I wouldn't be surprised if at the end of the school year Hayashi ends up all alone." I answered in a monotone way, not feeling any empathy for her and her group at all. I hope she ends up alone, then she'll know the feeling of having no one by your side.

"We're back and we got you guys some gummy bears!" We turned around to look at Ume and Shiroi entering the room. They held their chips and a bag of gummy bears.
"For us? Thank you so much hehe." Ichika thanked them and so did I. Ume looked as happy as usual but Shiroi on the other hand, looked a bit...different. Normally she would always smile around us and be cheery and everything but today she's been acting weird all day. Maybe it has something to do with the emergency on Friday? She left in such a hurry as the expression on her face didn't look very happy.

I could perhaps ask her about it later, after school.

"Have you noticed anything off about Shiroi today?" I asked Ichika during cleaning duty. We were cleaning the windows today. Shiroi was nowhere to be seen and Ume was cleaning with her other friends.
"Oh yeah, glad I wasn't the only one who noticed. She was pretty quiet today, wasn't she?" I nodded as I continued scrubbing.
"Mhm, I wanted to ask her later but I can't find her anywhere."
"Maybe she's on the roof? I know you guys have some history up there." She said, chuckling a bit.

I then proceeded to walk out of the classroom and up the stairs to the rooftop. As I opened the doors, I felt the cold breeze hit my skin and soon enough, I recognized a grey haired person sitting on a bench on the other side of the rooftop.

I walked for a bit until I finally reached her.
"Shiroi, are you okay? You don't usually skip cleaning duties." I started the conversation light and breezy.
"Mhm? Oh hey there Asuka. Oh uh I know but I'm just not feeling it today, don't tell anyone though.."
"I won't." I sat down next to her.

"So why did you look for me?" She asked.
"I wanted to talk to you. You seemed really down today and I'm a bit worried. Are you okay?" I wasn't sure how to phrase what I wanted to say but I think I nailed it.
"Yes I am." She replied with a monotone voice, that was unusual for her.
"Oh are you sure?" I didn't want to push her into telling me anything but I was seriously worried about her, she wasn't herself today.
"Yes I said I'm fine!" Shiroi hadn't looked at me since I asked her if she was okay. I felt that she was getting a little bit angry but I couldn't tell why, was I being too pushy? Maybe I should just shut up.

And that's what I did, at first.

"Just know, like you told me, I'm always here for you." I learned this from her when she was there for me and I still remember that day so clearly in my head.
"Thanks Asuka.." She finally said with a softer tone in her voice. I didn't want her to be mad, she can be scary when mad, so I'm glad I was able to calm her down a bit.

We stayed silent for a while until we heard the bell ring and realized that our cleaning duty was done. She stood up, looked down at me and said thank you again, for being there for her, even if it just was silent.
I guess my presence was enough for her.

We both walked down the stairs and noticed everyone getting ready to leave the school. Luckily, we have no tests this week so my schedule is completely free. This is the perfect time to hang out with your friends, or hang out by yourself and get some of that alone time that you desperately need after all that extrovertness from your friends.

Unless anyone asks me to hang out, I'll just stay at home and do my usual thing, read, write and practice my singing. I've been thinking of writing a song but I have no clue to what. Im usually good with coming up with creative ideas but I just can't figure out what kind of song to write. It would also take quite a while to actually produce a melody and all. Maybe I should just give up and do this in the future, when im better experienced?

I entered the classroom where Ichika had already left and took my bag. On my way outside, I saw Nori standing ALONE infront of her locker which is very unusual for her. She was changing her shoes and silently walking outside. I did the same thing right after her.

Shiroi had told me she needed to use the bathroom so we already parted ways earlier but it didn't take long until she catched up with me again at the entrance of the school. Walking in silence with her wasn't the most comfortable thing but I didn't mind too much after a while and neither did she seem to.

Before I had to walk a different way, I gave her a quick ruffle on her head since she used to always do that with me and I got a quick chuckle from her. I then actually said goodbye but before I could even expect it, she did the same to me and ruffled my hair even harder. My hair was a mess after that but we then both had a good laughter.
